Save-On-Foods

I thought it was clean, had everything I needed. Bakery and prepared foods wasn't awesome, or feeling real fresh, but it was good enough for on the go healthier food options.nThey have a full service grocery store, with a lot of extras.nThe staff seemed to be quite helpful and nice. I thought the store looked in really good condition and I liked the familiarity I felt when compared to other Save On Foods in my hometown. It was just like home, and it's always a comfort when a store, out of province, is the same as back home. We certainly have more prepared foods to go though.nDefinitely I'd be back.nGood job Save On

Unfortunately it is true that this store's happy life declines. Seems like it started last year, with selling quite a few outdated canned & packaged products. This year it is more like poor quality vegetables: radishes are soft & withered, so are green onions.nAt the end of last April I bought a couple of rustic baguettes and, at home, found out that those are stale but have been offered for a full price of fresh ones. The baguettes I bought had price stickers with the previous day packaging and did smell and taste stale.nI called the store and tried to get answers to why a stale product is sold without a discount, at least to let a customer know this product is not fresh. Never got an answer, even from a store manager. Too bad, liked their baguettes, they are baked better then anemic-looking baguettes of Cob's Bread.

Prices have been higher than most grocery stores for years. I would expect premium produce for premium prices. The produce has been pretty bad for months. Full priced, half rotten fruit and veg. What appears to be staff or managment using code stickers to hide bruises, holes and cuts on produce. I've gone from 1 or 2 times a week shopping here to not at all.nnP.s. Your Fridge/freezer lighting has been out for MONTHS and MONTHS in the frozen pizza/ meals section. Also some cashier staff seem absolutely miserable and could stand to work on their customer service skills .

Way too expensive. $10 for a small strawberry. I'll pass. Also, every time I come here they do not have what I'm looking for anyways. I'll shop somewhere else. Such. A. Waist. Of. Time.

Low stock everytime I go in, and if something is on sale there is no stock or you have to find a staff member because it's not on the shelf. And the prices r out of this world.
