Since I've been a little boy, I've been known as the Ukrainian pot belly piggy. I just love my Ukrainian food! I discovered this place by doing a Google search for "restaurants near me". Saskitoba Diner was the first result. After reading the reviews, I had to try it! I showed up about 10 minutes before the diner closed I was expecting the staff to say, sorry we are closing soon and there's either limited or no items to order. But that was not the case. A few suggestions were made and a few menu items were explained to me. I ended up going with the perogies, cabbage rolls, and meatballs. There was also a side of coleslaw. Everything tasted amazing and authentic.Very good portions! If you are craving genuine Ukrainian food, take the drive, go check this place out. You'll be glad you did. Trust the pot belly piggy!
A diner out in an industrial area in Nisku. Both the food and service were excellent! Super good value since portions are big and filling for the price you pay. I tried the perogies traditional is the best!, cabbage rolls and borscht, all delicious! Sausages were also very juicy and tasty. Would definitely recommend!
All is good in perogie land especially at Saskitoba. The borscht is awesome, the cabbage rolls are fantastic, the meatballs wonderful and last but not least the pierogies are to die for. The food was tasty and served promptly after we ordered. Our server was friendly and attentive. There is lots of parking available. There restaurant is clean and well lit. The washroom was clean also. My wife and I enjoyed our visit and definitely recommend coming here. It’s seems out of the way in the heart of Nisku Business Park but you definitely want to make the trip to enjoy the homemade food.
Best place for Ukrainian food. We go weekends for the buffet. Make sure you reserve a table! The place is full every time we have gone. All made from scratch. Staff are excellent and down to earth. Not run like your typical run of the mill chain. They make exceptions and are extremely catering to your needs. Highly recommend.
Absolutely HAD to leave a review, not just for the incredible food, but the even better customer service. Ordered the Ukrainian poutine, but a regular poutine was brought to the table by mistake. Not a big deal, the whipped up a Ukrainian poutine in no time and brought out our other order of sausage and Cabbage rolls, all was well. Comes time to pay the bill and they comped the ENTIRE bill, not just the poutine, or a percentage, the entire bill! Totally unnecessary, but totally respectable. Did I say the food was awesome? Took home 2 dozen perogies so I could share with the fam. Can't wait to go back!
Incredible home made food. Extremely filling and all you can eat. The owners put love into their food and it shows.
Went there with coworkers for Christmas. Everyone loved the food there. It's quite busy there during the lunch buffet.Service: 4/5
Just had the Ukranian buffet for dinner. Holy. Wow. It was amazing!! The food is indescribably amazing. You can literally taste the love that goes into all the handmade food. I will be back. If you are thinking about going here, stop. Just go. You will not regret it!! The staff make you feel at home, so cozy and wonderful there. Kid-friendliness: The buffet for adults was $20. For kids under 12, $1 per year!! So our 8 year old was $8!
I had the privilege of dining at the this outstanding diner. I'll start by saying the atmosphere was wonderful the staff were very welcoming and provided a homestyle experience the food portions was overwhelming as well as food quality. I would and will be recommending this exceptional restaurant to everyone. I gave it 5 stars but honestly it deserves 10
What a gem! Stumbled upon this place on a Friday night for their dinner buffet. I was immediately greeted with a smiling employee that told me to find a seat and explained the process for the buffet. There was a good variety of food, and it was homemade and flavourful! I'll definitely be back!Food: 5/5
