Decided to try this place out based on the great reviews and got the bbq pork skewer special plate seen in picture and the chicken adobo special plate. When we got there the staff were clearly very busy with phone and walk in orders but we were still helped quickly and the staff was very kind and welcoming. All the food was amazing. Great flavours and you can tell it was fresh and made with care. An added bonus was that the portions are huge! I definitely know why people have rated this place so highly and why people seem to be constantly calling in with phone orders.
Great portions of amazing food from very friendly staff. I rarely write reviews but Sari-Sari definitely deserves a recommendation! The pork skewers and sweet pork are delicious with a wonderful barbeque char while staying pretty tender and flavourful. As someone who doesn't care for spring rolls much, these Lumpias are so crispy and tasty, I'm really impressed! They include a side of salad with the combos which I really appreciate because I always struggle to get enough veggies when having Filipino food elsewhere. I would opt for their noodles over the rice in the combo, because their Pancit Bihon/noodles are yummy and come with a little Lechon Kawali/crispy pork on top. Even at their updated prices, you can't go wrong with any of their generous combos! They do close at 7pm so call ahead to place an order earlier.
Incredible food and amazing portions! We’ve never tried Filipino food and were blown away. We tried the pork stick very tender and lechon kawali super crispy! specials. So. Good. Pancit bihon noodles are a must. Spring rolls and pineapple juice are the perfect additions. Portions are huge!!!! Will have to be back to try their rotating menu items
Freaking delicious!! Sari Sari is all about that irreplaceable, fresh-tasting, home-made flavour. I ordered pancit bihon and pork skewers at a great price. Pancit bihon was perfect and loaded with crispy pork bits on top— quite possibly better than the pancit I’ve had at large filipino post-church gatherings. Pork skewers were rather large and had a perfectly sweet and savoury bbq flavour!! I ordered only 2, but my husband started stealing from my plate so I should have gotten 2 more! I seriously can’t wait to come back here. The staff is incredibly nice too. Stop reading my review and just go!!
I am a regular at Sari-Sari and Ate Ylynne and Her family are always so kind and welcoming and remember me by name. I’m always blown away by the delicious, authentic flavors of their Filipino cuisine. The menu is filled with a variety of traditional dishes, each one more delicious than the next. The barbecue pork stick combo with rice, Pancit and pineapple juice is always standout meal, with juicy, flavorful meat that was cooked to perfection. The desserts, like the Turon is a sweet ending to a fantastic meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, I highly recommend Sari-Sari to anyone looking for a delicious taste of the Philippines.
You will want to check out their Facebook page, where they have a very impressively detailed post each day listing what they're serving that day. Amazing food, amazing value. The "combo plate" I had was $12.99 plus tax, consists of a meat, carb, two lumpia shanghai eggroll like, filled with pork, caesar salad and pineapple juice. The combo plate price seems to vary depending on what meat you order. For my meat and carb, I had the kare-kare, which was beef cooked in a rich peanut sauce, with white rice, and all mixed together it tasted absolutely delicious. I also had a pork belly as a side meat and thought that it was decent, but definitely preferred the kare-kare a lot more. The lettuce in the Caesar salad was fresh and the pineapple juice was very refreshing. No indoor seating, and all the cooking/food areas are wrapped with plastic. There is some patio seating, but the area is not well shaded, and there is about seating for only 12 or so. There is a parking lot in front of the building with parking for about 7 cars shared with the salon next door, but be sure not to park in the neighbouring Forwell Variety Store. They accept Amex, but not sure if they are eligible for a Shop Small promotion.
I forgot to order some drinks. And the lady whom answered the phone, mentioned see she that we have ordered before and tossed them in free of charge. What a sweet gesture and such wonderful hospitality. We love all the food its so tasty and made with so much love. It's a Gem of a place, please give them a try I promise it's all worth it. Again thank-you for everything.
Their BBQ pork plate was delicious! The pork stick tasted so so good. Their service was also very nice, it was our first time their and they made us feel welcome
KW HIDDEN GEM ALERT This place is an absolute gem! The owners and workers at the shop are so nice and the restaurant gives HUGE portions of the most delicious meat! I tried Filipino food for the first time here and was not dissapointed at all. I ordered 2 of their combo meals that came with pineapple juice, Ceasar salad, noodles or rice, giant spring rolls and a choice of meats. For the first combo I got their pork belly which was soooooo crispy, and there was also so much of it. For the second combo I got the BBQed sweet and sour pork wich was AMAZING! I've never tasted anything quite as amazing and flavourful! For the rest of the combo we got the noodles which were a tad salty but nonetheless tasty and paired well with the fresh pineapple juice. The Ceasar salad was also a nice touch for some vegetables. If you're in town check this place out, and if you're not... It's worth the drive
This place has great food and you get a lot for what you pay for. Highly recommend the BBQ pork skewers and the spring rolls are the best I've had and monsters to boot. Super friendly staff and great service make this a great spot to visit.Food: 5/5
