My wife and I stopped for lunch after a stop downtown for an errand. We found the service to be excellent and extremely fast and better yet the food was amazing. Everything is made fresh and homemade in the kitchen. We will be back for sure and we'll add it to the locations that were willing to drive a distance to enjoy.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Sapori has quickly grown to become one of my absolute favorite spots in Winona. The food is delicious every time I go and it’s affordable, especially for the quality. I recommend this place to everyone I meet that hasn’t been. I’ve tried most of the menu and I’ve loved all of it. I always bring people here when they come to town. Keep doing what you do!
10/10. Everything was affordable, the entrees were delicious, and the gelato was to die for! It was interesting to walk in and order from a counter, not knowing what to expect, and receive such fabulous dishes. This place lives up to the other reviews; check it out!
This is a nice looking restaurant with friendly staff and great deals on desserts. Not sure what happened with the pasta, but I ordered Suga and got a bowl that barely had three small specs of braised beef in it. All the pasta bowls looked identical because they all used Penne shells. Might have been a fluke that I got the bowl that had next to no meat in it in a dish based on braised beef.
So we stumbled upon this gem in Winona - Sapori di Sicilia! Shared Sugo pasta and a porchetta sandwich. The cafe also have an amazing Dolci and gelato case. We held back and shared a raspberry tart! We returned the next morning to pick up some of the onion and the rosemary rolls for home.Food: 5/5
I have had half as good food for double the price. I was truly surprised when the Cafe opened up in downtown winona. A classic Italian Cafe dropped next too a McDonald's and a BP gas station. But when I first walked in it truly feels like you're being transported somewhere else. The interior of the Cafe is so lovingly designed and everything truly feels like a step up in class from everywhere else in town. Not only is class elevated In the Cafe but so is the food. I was already impressed before I took my first bite by the presentation of all the food and drinks served as the Cafe. And all expectations were met when I took my first bite and everything was perfect. Perfectly cooked pasta and a perfect balance of flavors. The pasta did not last long in front of me. And I enjoyed a lovely cappuccino while I ate and took in the interior of the Cafe. While I was originally surprised by the addition of the Cafe it is a welcome one. The Cafe has almost instantly become my new favorite spot for lunch and coffee as well as a spot I will be taking my friends and family in the future when they ask for the best food in winona.
Good atmosphere and location. Price is very reasonable and huge portion. Taste could be slightly improved.Recommended dishesCarbonara
A bit of Little Italy in Winona, MN. Great atmosphere and delicious pasta, with exceptional breads. My sister enjoyed her latte. Everything was reasonably priced. Went back the next day for more rosemary buns, which were well worth going back for more. Staff had recommendations, which were good. Nice they knew what they served, which I am finding that a lot of restaurants' staff can't make recommendations.
Cute spot. The food is decent but needs some help. Out of quite a few things we wanted to order. The place has a ton of potential and could be great with some good management and attention to detail. The staff is great and friendly. A little consulting from a good Sicilian chef and this place could be gold.Food: 3/5
Absolutely delicious! I'm so happy that Winona finally has a really good Italian restaurant. My go-to is the sugo pasta, some bread, and an iced tea and, of course, some gelato for dessert. Very flavourful. The waitstaff are always very kind and patient when I try and fail to pronounce the Italian menu items.
