Amazing little bistro we happened on. Great location off the main street and right on a beautiful little stream. Great fish and chips, cold beer, attentive but not hovering service. A return trip is anxiously awaited, this time on the lovely shaded outside patio overlooking the stream.Food: 5/5

Located in the heart of Knowlton Lac Brome, Sapin is located in an old cobblestone house adjacent to the stream running through town, which can be viewed from the second floor windows see picture. Visiting on a Sunday mid-afternoon, there were still about 20 patrons sitting down and enjoying their meals...although the two floor restaurant can handle well over 75 patrons. We enjoyed the carrot with cumin & cinnamon soup tasty, the Chicken Burger with Salad very juicy and tasty and Deep Friend Scallop sandwich they ran out of haddock and this was the substitue...also tasty. Service was friendly and maybe a bit slow but there was only one server for the whole resto so it was understandable...more importantly he was very friendly and nice. Enjoy! Parking: There is a good sized lot on site...plus an public overflow lot just adjacent so parking should not be a problem.
Le Sapin is a beautiful restaurant situated in an old stone mill by the river. My wife and I shared the Haddock fish and chips, and the maple / dill salad, and both were delicious. While it appeared that there were only 2 workers cook and server looking after 8 or 10 tables of diners, service was quick and attentive. It is definitely worth checking out.
Great outdoor seating, a good menu with just the right amount of dishes and entrees. Wine, Local beers, sangria. The fish n chips, the lobster rolls and burgers are delicious.
Had the duck poutine and it was delicious. The portion size was good, and it came with a drink as well! We ate there in the middle of a heat wave, and they brought out a fan for us, so that was definitely a nice touch.
Nice place, good attention, great outdoor seating, good menu, live music, unfortunately the chef today wasn't in his best moment and left burn my bread's burger and added too much sauce but in general the food was ok, I recommend you go but make a reservation before or go after 5pm, so you can find a place easily.

Wanted to drink a coffee. 90% free spots on the Terrasse , the server advised me to not bring my bike inside the fence and for only a coffee she has no time anyway. Very rude and not welcoming at all. The place will not see me again.Food: 1/5
