Stopped by this little bakery. Saw some gluten free white chocolate & macadamia nut cookies. It was good. Very comparable to the ones you get at the grocery store but gluten free. Don't get me wrong, they were very tasty and perfect in taste, sweetness and texture. For customers, crack a smile and say hi to the business owner. I'm pretty shy so I'm glad my partner is great at small talk.
picked up some treats while we were camping on the coast- SO GOOD! Almond tart, Bakewell tart, Millionaire bar and Date square- all delicious. And we are very picky about date squares/matrimonial cake, so this is not hollow praise. Lovely staff as well, so keep up the good work!
Sandy's bake shop is a delightful little shop that definitely caters to the comfort friendly British foods and treats. The sausage rolls were delicious as were the brownie treats we had. Would definitely recommend the millionaire shortbread bar and the cheesecake brownie bar. If you are looking for coffee, they have a simple drip. That might be discouraging to some but honestly these are some very delicious treats to have. Would come back for the sausage rolls any day.
I think this place is tops. All of the yum yums. So far, in my little, Sandy’s journey of trying everything, I have not been disappointed. Eating an apple fritter anywhere else is like a bomb in the gut, not Sandy’s, same satisfaction without the heaviness. And all the ladies in there are awesome to talk to.
I dropped by this bakery during my last day in Gibson. I have never had a better tasting muffin cake before. I wanted to come back to tell Sandy how great it was and buy more but didn't have a chance. 1000% recommend this place!!! SO GOODDD
Stopped at this place on the way to Egmont. Right in front of Gibsons Pier. Bake shop with very good pastries. Butter Crossiant is a must try. Variety of baked goods to choose from. Drop by to support our local vendors if you are visiting sunshine coast. Covid precautions were in place
I wasn’t googling bakery shops at all before I went in, didn’t know it’s only 3.9 but it all makes sense now... Had high hope for a bag of cookies 6 cookies and 1 cupcake that I paid $13 for. They are all absolutely garbage. The cupcake was not gluten free, for some reason it did taste like a bad gluten free cupcake. Even though I know it’s not fare to those very tasty gluten free desserts out there! But, you get what I mean. The cookies tasted nothing like they are well made, they tasted exactly like $1 cookies from Canadian Tire with different fancy packaging. Absolutely surprised, not in a good way. From the picture everything looks yummy which was the reason I went in without checking the ratings, just another reminder to check the ratings before goes in a new shop.
Everything they make is delicious, whether it's sweet or savory you're in for a treat. They give fantastic customer service also, it's quickly become my favorite bake shop on the coast.
The cookies were horrible! I bought Chocolate Chip cookies on an impulse and I couldn't even finish a cookie after 1 bite. It was hard, flat, bland and tasted too much like vegetable shortening. We ended up throwing away the whole bag afterwards. I also bought a $25 white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. My total was around $35—those 6 cookies were not cheap! The cheesecake was okay, not the best I've had. I could have bought a cheesecake at the same quality from Safeway for less.
While on vacation last month; we dropped in to Sandy’s one morning: the Lemon Blueberry Scones was delicious; crispy and golden brown; was truly yummy! Our friends picked one up the following day; unfortunately it must have been a “day old scone”; not crispy at all and somewhat stale tasting; quite disappointing. They should have been sold as day old items!
