Love this place. A great little restaurant on the square. Delicious sandwiches and salads. The "BATH" and Roast Beast sandwiches are some of the best. Try the Chicken salad in a bowl! Don't skip the dessert options. They are homemade and always delicious.

Amazing hot and cold sandwiches and home made soups. It is slow. It is always slow, and that's how it is. As long as you know that up front, it's great. The burgers are the best in town, but no french fries.

Great food! Excellent service. They are doing such a great job trying to keep the community safe. Do I agree with their mask mandate? NOPE. Am I going to give up eating some FORKING AWESOME food because I need to wear a mask while I'm ordering my food? NOPE. Keep it up Randy and staff! You've got a whole community behind you and we LOVE that you're still here to serve our community.
What a great company with nothing but compassion in there love for there restaurants and safety of customer! I am so grateful that a family owned company with such a superior customer service and high integrity in there work can survive in such a trying time! Business like this deserve nothing but respect for not letting these trying times change there morals or lower there standards of safety for them and those around them. True hero’s and will always be a lifetime customer!
First impressions was cold. Patricia, the front counter woman was RUDE!!! We ordered a hamburger vegetabe bowl and a chicken chili bread bowl. The hamburger vegetable soup was nothing to write home about. The chicken chili was luke warm and gritty. The bread bowl was heavy. Two soups and no drinks cost over $16.00. Could have gone to McDonald's and gotten a better lunch. Don't waste your time...or your money.
First time in Harlan and would definitely come back for Sandwich Bowl! I had the best French dip and amazing potato soup. My husband had the bacon Mac and cheese burger and loved it. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Next time we are on another road trip through Iowa we will be making our way back here!
