I had a great experience with All Nation Groups security team while staying at the Sandman Hotel. The guards were very professional and well dressed, which made a strong first impression. One of their security guards went out of his way to help me navigate from the reception to my room, and he was incredibly polite and friendly throughout the process. I really appreciated their attentive and courteous service.
Staff were extremely nice. Always making sure everything is alright. Rooms were very clean, shower had lots of hot water. Pool looked inviting but was closed for a bit of Maintenance. Lanie was always smiling, very helpful, did a tremendous front desk associate. This is right across from the Orchard Mall so very convenient location. I would stay here again!
Thanks for the reply, Summer. There's always room for improvement — and it's replies like that which remind me why Sandman struggles to earn 5 stars.nnI've been a guest on and off for years, and back in the early 2000s, I even worked as Sandman’s maintenance guy — beloved, hard-working, and familiar with the behind-the-scenes reality. Back then, it was barely scraping two stars. The photos on Google? Beautiful. Credit to the photographer — or maybe Adobe.nnBut walking through the doors tells a different story. The atmosphere leans cold, the energy is off, and unless you fit a certain polished profile, you’re more likely to be treated like a walking red flag than a paying guest. Thank God for online check-in — it spares guests from the reception roulette.nnYou don’t earn stars by replying with sarcasm. You earn them by making people want to return, not regret. Until then, 3 stars is generous.nnKind regards.
Stayed overnight for a friends wedding. They did a block booking which was great. It was hard to find Parking, but that was due to a basketball league in town. Steps away from Denny’s, and a friend even got a gift card there from a booking special. Great location to get to highway 1 and 5.
On our 2nd night, our family’s stay was disrupted when a really PUNGENT MARIJUANA SMELL flooded our room from 12:30am to 4 am. And since I was there with my 13-year-old, it made the whole situation even worse. I reported it to the front desk and security, but they didn't have any other rooms available and didn’t really do much to help. NOT COMFORTING! It was super uncomfortable and stressful, especially since my husband and I have bloodwork and urine test coming up in two days and a flight to catch in the afternoon. To try to tackle the strong odor, I sprayed air freshener I got from the front desk, shoved a towel sprayed with air freshener under the door, kept the bathroom vent on all night, put peppermint oil on the pillows, used Vicks inhalers, and even ran the coffee machine at 3am to mask the smell. Middle of the night I kept going in and out of the room to check if the odor was still there and yes, it still stank of marijuana every time! Worst hotel stay ever! I managed to get some sleep around 4 and then woke up at 6:40am with a stuffed-up nose. Not the hotel sleep I was expecting! It was a completely draining and frustrating experience in the middle of the night. I really wish there had been a better way to handle the situation instead of FEELING STUCK AND ALONE. I hope future guests, especially families, get a heads-up about this issue, and I really hope the hotel DOES SOMETHING to prevent it from happening again.
