Great hotel in the middle of the city, close to public transport and convince stores. Underground parking is secure. Yes it costs extra but most places charge too. The one time we stayed at another hotel in downtown with free parking outside our car was broken into so staying at sandman is our new go to hotel when in Calgary! Rooms are great, pool is awesome. Stuff are friendly and the restaurant moxies is also very good!
Very clean suite, well-equipped with minifridge/microwave/coffeemaker, bed was comfortable, and location was very central yet quiet. It was a pleasant stay.nnMy main complaint is the water - I know the city has been having a supply issue so I'm not sure if it's related, but the temperatures don't go above lukewarm. It was okay when I visited but it did leave me shivering a bit after showers, it might not be tolerable if visiting during a cold winter.nnOtherwise, I would recommend staying at this hotel.
I had a wonderful stay at Sandman Hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to Chaitali, the amazing front desk person. She was incredibly helpful, always greeted us with a smile, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Her hospitality truly stood out. The room was also fantastic—clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. Location is ideally for anyone who loves exploring downtown area. Overall, a great experience!
Stayed at the Sandman Signature for 2 nights. The receptionists were wonderful and very helpful. However, the water was always cold, they don’t give slippers, and their hot tub didn’t work. Also, I reserved my car for both days and still got a ticket from the indigo parking lot they use when I paid the $6. I tried contacting both Indigo and Sandman and wasn’t able to hear back from anyone and now I owe $70 for a spot I paid for.
Stayed here overnight and it would not have been my first choice but, I was very surprised at its convenience, service, room and amenities.nnStaff check in was awesome and they have a pull up area for your car to check in. Parking is underground and ample, room was very comfortable and linen was fresh. I used the gym which is satisfactory and they have an indoor pool and hot tub which is 5. I Would definitely go back.nnMoxies is downstairs so meals are not a problem.
