This place lacks personality, the ambiance is on life support. I will quickly add that the service is attentive, courteous, prompt literally running of there feet and amicable. The food pub chicken fingers and ribs full rack was excellent and plentiful.
So I was there on a Sunday. Had Amanda and Teneal looking after me while I sat at the bar. I could not have had a better experience. Both were fun, friendly and attentive. I also ate, which was enjoyable pub food. One of the best bar/pub experiences I've had.
Giving this a 1 because the beer was great!! Started off with wait to be seated only to find out they were opening late due to staff shortage. No sign for this. The home made buttermilk chicken strips were the cheapest product we have ever eaten. Cooked in dirty fishy oil. My beef dip was tasteless. No seasoning and not served on a ciabatta bun but on a pretzel bun that had an off taste. Waitress was nice but not much she can do with new owners and menu. Lunch for 2 was $70.00 with h a beer Thank goodness the view was great! Don’t waste your money here
The staff was unfriendly when we arrived for dinner and we only saw our hostess when she took our order and then when she brought the food. We waited an hour for a pizza! . We also had to ask numerous times for our bill. I had a pizza that was full of cheese and nothing else. We sat on the patio and it appeared that cleaning is not a a priority. I would give this restaurant a 0 if it were available. Don’t waste your money on this dump!
I only have this review 1 star becuase the couch outside the restaurant was comfy and tender. Key word outside. I didn’t even get to go I got he restaurant. Absolutely unbelievable. We looked on the website and it apparently opens at 11:30am. Me and my family entire extended bloodline camped out at the nearby wharf for the night so we could eat there in the morning. We saved our stomachs the precious night by not eating dinner. Only to find out by the extremely rude chef in the kitchen that we couldn’t even come in. Me and a large crowd of 35 people were waiting outside for the employees to open the door. We waited for at lease 45 minutes and eventually the booming crowd was getting restless and anxious. So my great grandmother was fed up and knocked on the door of the kitchen. Only to be ignored. We had to use blunt force and group protests to get the attention of the chef. He came to the door and let us know the at the restaurant was indeed not open. We questioned them why. They said they don’t know and redirected us to the restaurant neighboring don cherrys. And the grand cherry on top: we went to use the washroom and the walls were covered in radioactive liquid and half of my bloodline was wiped out. Shame on you Don Cherry. I know this is all your fault you old hockey joke.
We had amazingly good burgers, they were stacked so high and delicious! The sangria was awesome and the staff were wonderful and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.
Hadn't been for a while due to their closures but pleasantly surprised. Good service and food. Reasonable prices
We stood at the entrance to be sitted after another group in front of us left because they were tired of waiting. We waited 10 minutes and not even an acknowledgment from the server or bar maid. I'm not sure why noone even told it would be a bit of a wait or anything. So we didn't even stay.
First time we visited they had no staff. This visit was entirely different. Best thing about this bar for us is the amazing location. If, like us, you are on the Trans Canada and need a break, this makes an ideal stopover both for food and accommodation.
Horribly understaffed and atrocious food that is overpriced. Disgrace of an establishment. Wait staff have no chance to be successful.
