This is my first time golfing Sand Point. Challenging course, tough greens. Soldi value, and great views of the Ottawa River from some holes. A dog leg left and a dog leg right both par 4s make you strategically pit your driver away bot on all other parts 4s and 5s, you can grip it and rip it. Course was in good shape, pace of play was perfect.
Sand Point is a hidden gem, well worth the drive. Very nicely designed and groomed. Challenging, yet fun. The best part... because it's off the beaten path, it's all REAL golfers, less hackers.
Sand Point is a beautiful golf course. Very scenic with some challenging holes. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I am a visitor from London and I will certainly come back and play it again.
Beautiful course in great shape. Friendly staff and a good price. Only negative...not a single drink/snack cart over 18 holes!
Gorgeous views and great staff with an excellent bar and restaurant. Fairways and greens could've been in better condition but o believe this is peak season Mid June. Make sure to play 18 as the turn has some of the best views of the river.
It's like playing in a farmers field. Back 9 is much nicer than the front. Very inept turf crew, so I don't suggest going in the morning unless you want someone with a turbine blower full throttle behind you for an entire par 5. He even blew my tee shot off the fairway. I don't recommend this course.
This is the worst I have seen this course. I haven't played here for a few years and it was a shock to see how bad the fairways are this year. All fairways except 18th has any grass on the fairway. It was like playing on hardpan pretty much the entire course. The greens are fine though. Such a shame to see this course in this condition. Not sure if it was neglected due to the dispute with the employees per some comments here. Hopefully they bounce back next year.
Not a bad course. Nice layout and was in decent shape. Tee boxes were average fairly leveled. Greens were just aerated so were slow and lots of sand on them not reflected in my ratting . Fairways were well maintained and green. Has some nice views of the river and scenic with all the leaves turning for fall. Overall fairly easy course for a reasonable price, would recommend and would go back.
I like the course and the price. The course is pretty good overall but some watering is required on several fairways. Also, when our group finished our round just after 4:00 p.m., the bar/restaurant was non-existent. CLOSED!! Seriously!! One lonely young man manning the pro shop. I like the improvements being made, but if you want to build new you must provide service!
The owner does not pay the employees accordingly to the employment standards act. Employees do not get vacation pay and or the 4% they are entitled to and the owner tells them their are not entitled to it because it is seasonal work... BOYCOTT....THIS HORRIBLE PLACE WHO TREATS STAFF LIKE GARBAGE AND HAS UNFAIR WAGES.
