We celebrated our 25th Ann anniversary there. The special private room was very cosy and beautiful. Food was delicious. I gave four star because of slow service. They were short of staff. But everyone worked very hard to serve us and keep us happy. I would recommend the place.
The food is phenomenal! The wood smoke smell and taste are to die for! Had salmon salad and fish tacos for lunch... DELICIOUS! Went back for dinner, roasted red pepper soup, yum, steak and mashed potatoes, double yum. John our server was amazing!!!
Reserved a table for two for our fortieth anniversary. We were shown to a booth with a large tear in the seat. Very close quarters. Admittedly I am somewhat overweight but definitely not the largest in the room. The food was stupendous and cooked perfectly. [ wild mushroom pene and fish and chips] . The waitress was charming and very well informed. Other than the fact that we should have been seated in the porch area overlooking the golf course, open but unused as everyone was seated in the sports bar. I did ask for a special occasion seating. I paid special occasion prices but overall it was less than I expected from the reputation this dining venue enjoys.
Got the nachos and spin dip and my goodness it was delicious! Service was great, and the portion sizes were perfect for the price in a beautiful golf course!
Arrived for a family dinner on March break before heading to Kingswood Entertainment. We were a group of 11. Two members of the family ordered steak, which arrived overcooked and not seasoned well at all. One member ordered chicken wings and I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken, it was evident the oil that they were using to fry was dirty. Both of our chicken was covered in little black specks - and tasted burnt and really bitter. When my plate was sat down in front of me I expected it to be dark as buttermilk fried usually is darker, but it tasted burnt. The batter was dry, falling off the meat in chunks and the chicken was incredibly dry. I sent it back and they brought me a new plate 15 minutes later which was just as bad as the first so I ended up giving up and just eating the potatoes and beans. My partner ordered the spicy noodle bowl which was not AT ALL spicy, but sweet. Also, I ordered a glass of wine which they told me is 6 oz, but there couldn't have been any more than 4 oz in the glass meanwhile a group of older folks at the table beside us were receiving glasses of wine nearly filled to the rim. That was really aggravating. It was just a s**t show the whole way around - we left really disappointed. I will say the waitress was so sweet and I felt so bad for her having to take all of the complaints. And they did not charge me for my meal - but I was REALLY looking forward to a nice meal. I honestly don't think I'd come back again. The one star is for the waitress who I could tell really felt bad and handled the situation the best she could, with kindness and understanding.
Steak was done right and excellent seasonings. Keep up the good work, cooks. Also had some dessert. Keylime pie had a nice tartness to it and the brownie wasn't too sweet which I like. Nice serving sizes.Food: 5/5
Wow. Now this is a great place for some ribs. I had the full rack, and no skimping here for sure. I was not able to eat them all. Seriously fall of the rib and delicious. The sauce has a bit of a kick to it - perfect. You want to make a reservation here well in advance - do not try grab a table last minute. If you are looking for a special night out, book one of the tables overlooking the golf course - you will not be disappointed
We sat in a private alcove, which was nice. Service was quite slow, but we were there on a weeknight. I had the kale Cesar salad, which was very plain. Just kale, dressing, and a couple croutons. Not $13 worth. Drinks were good.
The fish and chips and buttermilk chicken were fantastic. Few guests were there due to weather so it was more cozy and comfy. Drinks were topped up regularly and food was served quickly.Food: 5/5
They served me dry potatoes... no butter no sour creme... $45 meal steak was over cooked the bartender didn't know what an IPA was... hollandaise sauce on the fish cake broke...
