My wife and were just passing through a chose them more or less at random, but are we glad we did! I had the burger which was juicy and prepared as I liked, my wife had the beef stew which was amazing! We had the Irish Cream cheesecake for desert. If you’re hungry, go here!
Saturday, February 18th was my first time at the Salt Hill Pub. I ordered Bob’s VT Maple Griller that's Smoked turkey, bacon, cheddar, VT maple mayo... so yummy and Pub Frickles also very yummy. The staff was awesome and My husband and I had a great time here.
The food was delicious especially the pulled pork sliders. The service was not mentionable. It was busy.
Really nice pub atmosphere. I was a bit perplexed as to why they had a band warming up in the middle of the day on a Sunday...didn't seem to fit the mood but luckily I got out before that started. Bartender was nice and attentive and made a really good drink. Ordered wings and they were great. Ordered the Buffalo Mac and Cheese...not so great. It was basically Mac and cheese with chicken in it. When I order something like that my expectation is to regret it later...there was just no kick to it at all, kind of flavorless. Luckily the bartender got me some Buffalo sauce which I added and it helped, but I was really not impressed with this dish at all. The sauce was runny and i was expecting more of a baked mac and cheese. Overall experience was pretty good though...I'd definitely go back and try something else on the menu.
Of all the Salt Hills in the area the one on the Green seems to be the most popular yet its never crowded when I go. Its always a pleasant experience. You're treated with respect and attended to promptly. I personally consider it my favorite pub in the area. The food is always fresh and I've never had a cold plate served to me in the few years I've been in the area. The beer is ice cold and the wait staff are always focused on you when trending to your table or seat at the bar. Great place in my experience.
Always stop by the Lebanon NH location when in town. Theme is Irish pub, food leans more towards American cuisine, not a complaint. Everything we have gotten here has always been great, never disappointed. Appears to have a good beer and whiskey selection and nonalcoholic selections. Definitely recommended.
Suggestion was made to eat here and the rueben was excellent. Super tasty and the rye was great. Overall a great atmosphere. They were a little understaffed but that is fine, totally understand when the college is out and its winter. Beer selection was good too
Had a very good experience on the phone with Carolyn ordering a couple of Guinness Stews to go. The stew was a disappointment though. It was so over-peppered that it wasn’t edible, and I like pepper. If it was on the menu as Black Pepper Stew that would be a more appropriate description. The pub looked clean and comfortable and I’d probably give it another shot, just not for the stew.
Food is consistently good and portion size is enough to fill you up, service is friendly, large outdoor seating and occasional live music. For the bad, overpriced, I mean $2.99 increase for onion rings instead of fries menu says $1.99 increase but i guess they increased the increase, $18.99 for a dozen wings! Draft beer over 8 bucks. 2 sandwiches with onion rings instead of fries and 2 draft beers along with tip cost us 60 bucks, way overpriced.
My falafal was amazing and their french fries are the real deal. My husband loved his reuben. The meat was tender and piled high. Service was slow.
