I absolutely loved my experience at this tea house! The atmosphere was serene and cozy, and the tea selection was impressive. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and made great recommendations based on my preferences. The scones and other baked goods were also delicious and paired perfectly with the tea. I highly recommend this tea house for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable tea experience.
This is a beautiful little gem in Pointe-Claire village! Have been a few times and am never disappointed. Food is delicious and fresh, tea is hot and tasty, and staff are lovely. You must go! Reservations a must
Great experience! My friend and I decided to try their high tea and I really loved everything. The ambiance is very nice and cozy. We were given slippers and left our jackets on a hanger, which made me feel really comfortable from the start. As for the teas, we chose a black tea from Colombia which was really good. The food was delicious, especially the scones, and I appreciate that the portions were enough to be full after, but without any kind of discomfort of having eaten too much. It was a perfect amount of food. I also appreciate that my friend’s vegetarian diet was respected upon making the reservation and during our visit. The staff was super nice and welcoming and our tea pot was refilled with more hot water, which made the experience super enjoyable and rush-free. I find the prices extremely fair for the value of what is offered and I definitely recommend a visit to anyone looking for a great high tea experience. Vegetarian options: They can make a vegetarian menu if you request it in advance Parking: Lots of free parking around
I made a reservation for a friend's birthday. It was my first time and the overall experience was great. I heard good things so when I called and left a message, I received a call back within the same day. Every exchange over the phone since then was polite and friendly. I was asked if anyone was a vegetarian days before our reservation date. I went today. Very intimate. Feels like you are amongst friends at home but without having to cook or clean. Yay! The prices are very fair in realtion to quality and what you get compared to the Ritz which is about double the price. Love the decor. The place is very clean. Love that this is a local business in Pointe-Claire Village. We had a great time. My only negative feedback hopefully constructive is about the policy. I was told when I made the reservation to confirm the number of guests ASAP due to space being limited. What I wasn't told was that we would still have to pay if we reserved for 4 people but only 3 showed up. Last minute, one of my friends got sick. I don't disagree with the policy but I wish I knew about it when I made the reservation. But we did get 4 portions of food despite being 3 people. I would go back but just three things to take note of before going: 1. Reservation required 2. Inquire about how long in advance you have to change number of guests before having to pay for that number of people 3. Salon Rosie-Lanoi is lovely I will go back again.
Really cute little tea shop They hosted a bridal shower and it was really lovely. The scones are the best I've ever had!
Nice and cozy place in the Pointe-Claire village to catch up with friends over tea. Great selection, nice service, and the sweets and savories especially were delicious. Excited to visit again!
I recently went to the Mad Hatter Tea party and don't get me wrong the decor and hostess were wonderful. For me the main issue was the lack of value for money. I've been to tea rooms before and the portions were very small compared to my previous experiences. Not enough food only got two finger sized sandwiches a tiny meatball, 2 scones and a two bite sized desserts. All for the high cost of $38 plus tax and tip. Left feeling ripped off. I hate leaving a bad review especially with such sweet and enthusiastic owners but it bothered me enough to warn others. Maybe their regular high tea options are more reasonable. For me though I doubt I will be returning but wish them the best.
A gem in the heart of the Pointe-Claire Village. The owners, Christine and Nadine, were very gracious. The savory and sweet bites were delicious! The scones were fluffy and buttery - the best I've ever had! Child-friendly. Highly recommended for afternoon tea!
My recent visit to Rosie-Lanoi was a disaster from start to finish. Even prior to my visit, I experienced unpleasantness while trying to make a reservation. Despite calling during their limited "open" hours, they NEVER answered the phone. After several failed attempts, we had to resort to messaging them on INSTAGRAM to secure a reservation. This is a serious lack of professionalism. When we arrived, we were immediately disappointed with the rushed and impersonal service. We were made to feel like we were a burden to the staff, and they didn't seem interested in making our experience enjoyable. Such a ridiculous rushed service limitation needs to be mentioned BEFORE. The waitress assigned to our table didn't come by ONCE to ask if everything was okay, for 30$ I expect at least a refill for the tea? To make matters worse, when one of our friends couldn't make it to the reservation, we were forced to pay for “the extra AT MOST 3 pastries” FULL PRICE without any heads up or explanation. Where was the extra tea for the person who couldn't make it then? This is a serious lack of professionalism and again needs to be mentioned BEFORE. After coming here, and seeing the way the owners have replied to the bad reviews, makes me wish we had seen them before visiting the place. Clearly there is no professionalism and no decency to address such issues mentioned by several customers, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH NICER AND MORE HELPFUL if they'd just try to improve themselves instead of trying to justify these issues with mediocrity. Overall, I would not recommend Rosie-Lanoi to anyone. The unpleasant experience started with the difficulty of being able to make a reservation and continued with rushed service, lack of customer service, and unreasonable policies. Save yourself the hassle and look for a better dining experience elsewhere. For 15$ more, Ritz-Carlton offers an incomparable experience.
A very nice place to have some tea! The decor is a nice mixture of classic and modern and very comfy. The food was tasty, especially the scones!! And everything is made on the place. I would add some chocolate but that's about it!
