Sally’s Restaurant is a true gem and we were lucky to have found it! This is our first Canadian restaurant to try and they have set the bar high for the others that we will go to. All the food was very fresh and delicious! The portions are HUGE! The poutine was something that we had to try as we know it’s a typical Canadian dish- it was delicious! The owner and her employee regret not getting their names were beautiful and super friendly people. We highly recommend Sally’s Restaurant, like I said, it’s a true gem.
It's a local restaurant, medium sized, clean, cozy with friendly servers. We got shawarma Platter and enjoyed it. They have live music at evenings, if anyone interested...
The fish and chips were excellent. Not soggy or over cooked. Was well greeted and service during and at meal end friendly and very respectful. Will need to stop by more often to try more menu items. Well worth the drive to stop in.Food: 5/5
Wow. Stopped by on a whim and am so glad we did. Food is excellent as is the coffee. Owners are a very nice couple. Two hours later I still feel that rare satisfaction you get from eating good quality food.
Stopped in for a late lunch today while on a break from work. This is the only place I know of in Chatham Kent that sells Shawarma, and it was fantastic. Sally was more than happy to make me a quick and delicious lunch. Honestly would recommend this place to anyone who wants a home cooked meal. Sally, keep up the amazing work, the world needs more restaurant owners like you, I cannot wait to come back again !
Just went to a late lunch/early dinner. The food was amazing. Made to order and fresh ingredients. Sally makes you feel like family. My daugther was treated like a queen. Made us feel very special. We are going to go again. My daugther went up to Sally and gave her a big hug for the treats that she got. I can say Sally spoiled her. Lots of love here for that place.
Sally's is like sitting down at the family table. You're always greeted with such a warm smile and a genuine love for her customers. The food is incredible but the service is over & above
As a truck driver it is often difficult to find a place to eat. I highly recommend this establishment as there is lots of parking on the side of the country road. The staff is very friendly and keep their washrooms open exclusively for truck drivers. And the food is delicious. Part 2, second visit. This visit was somehow even more pleasant than the last. I called about 5 minutes before the restaurant closed as I was a short distance away from the restaurant and despite the fact that they were closing she made me a fantastic meal. Once again I was able to use the washroom have a bottle of water and a nice conversation. Then, to my disbelief she did not let me pay for my meal. She said she appreciated my service as a truck driver and that I was the last customer of the day. And then on top of everything else she actually went to a table, grabbed the fruit bowl off of it and poured the fruit in a bag for me to bring with me in my truck. The food alone would guarantee Sally a customer every time I pass by, but the kindness she showed earned her a customer for life. I'll drive off my route within reason to eat there!
I happened to saw the sign “ Sally’s Restaurant- Canadian Lebanese “ and since we loved our Shawarma we didn’t hesitate to turn around and gave it a try. My husband ordered chicken shawarma and garlic butter shrimp with cheese for me. “Oh that was one of the best Shawarma “ my husband said after his first bite. You can tell that Sally the owner cooked her food with love. Sally is so friendly but sad because we lived 3 hours away from Tilbury. Good job Sally and Hubby! God bless!
