Beautiful patio on the water, food was quite tasty however the service was inattentive and slow. We were there mid-afternoon and it was as though we were forgotten between lunch and dinner service. We waited 10 minutes for menus, another 20-25 minutes for food and the server didn't come back until we were done. He cleared the table removing a full uneaten meal without inquiring at all as to whether there was an issue. When he brought the bill, all of a sudden he was friendly and chatting asking about our evening plans trying to redeem his tip. The food was good but the service could be better.
Nice view on the patio. Friendly server. Large portions. We enjoyed the apple and onion brie appetizer. Fresh ipa draft/ and a peach Bellini date night without the kids. The Caesar salad was tasty. I wished the server told me how large the portion was… I ordered chicken crepes and my wife ordered chicken stir fry. Will be eating leftovers for a week! Thank you for a great night.
Ordered three burgers and fries for take out a few months back. Brought them home took a bite and the burger was burnt. Other Two burgers were also burnt, visibly black. Called back and spoke to a manager and she told me there was no way. Called back the next day and spoke to another manager who was much more professional. She said she would give us a credit for three new burgers and fries. We ordered again and it was very good. Decided to order again last night thinking there was no way that would happen again. Got the burgers home and all three were burnt on one side. We were pretty hungry so we put a bunch of condiments on them and ate them anyways. Would not recommend. Both times ordering, both times burnt burgers. Only time they weren't was when they knew we were picking up credited burgers that were replacing burnt burgers.
Tried this place for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed. I will be back to try more dishes. I had the chicken club with fries that were so fresh and delicious . Quick, friendly and efficient service, all around this was a fantastic experience.
Great little hidden spot ! In heart of "downtown" Kemptville. We had Joel as our waiter and he was entertaining, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the nachos , steak and chèvre salad which was sooo good I switched to a balsamic vinegrette and the Artichoke on baguette. Everything tasted good and had a nice presentation. The priced were very reasonable and portions large ! Great place to come in the summer for their patio season with views! Would recommend
Very good food, apparently made from scratch. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken crepes. I have had the single and double portions. The single portion was enough, and the double portion would be enough for two in most cases. My wife and mother in law both had the Maple Orange Chicken salad and loved it. The service can be slow at times. Next up the seafood crepes!
The food and atmosphere here are great. I look forward to coming back in the summer to check out the patio! Everyone in our group loved their food, it was all delicious. The only issue is the waitress oder lady asking us to pay our bills, but not letting us see them. Group of 4 paying separately. I had to ask multiple times to see my bill even though she had them right there in her hand as she started charging my companions and losing track of who had paid which bill. It was very strange!
I LOVE their specials!! They always have a wonderful quiche option on the menu. But today they also had a breakfast quesadilla and oh my goodness was it ever good. Our server was wonderful and it was just a lovely relaxed lunch!Food: 5/5
Having never been to this dining establishment before, naturally I was somewhat hesitant for this new experience. Thankfully, my doubts were immediately shattered due to the wonderful and welcoming demeanour and natural charm of our waiter. I believe his name was something like Joe or Joel, and he had a really classy beard and wild man haircut. He knew the menu like the back of his hand, and recommended entrees with the natural professionalism and knowledge of a fine wine sommelier. He was also as delightfully funny as a seasoned stand up comedian, and had us howling with joyous laughter. My burger was also really good. 10/10, thanks Joe!
