We got there before the dinner crowd. Our server was rushing us a little for the drinks. We were new to the restaurant so we wanted to look at the menu. Then it took him about 5 minutes to come back. When we order all but one meal came. We finally got someone's attention when we were half done to see what was taking so long. He goes and ask about the meal comes back and gives us a lame excuses. About 2 minutes later our server comes back and gets the plate the other guy couldn't get. Was not a good experience. I would think twice before going again. food was decent.
The food has always been on point. This was my 6th time dining in. I usually eat at the bar, because I am impatient. When I do have to wait for a table, it’s usually rather short. Tonight was packed because of the holiday and multiple parties partaking in some hibachi action. I would recommend this place for sushi and hibachi. There are other options on the menu, such as Korean food and Japanese Cuisine such as Udon, but I have not yet tried it out yet. I got to taste my wife’s Udon, which was pretty good, except I’m not a fond onion soup fan. I’m more of a miso, beef broth, or egg drop type of soup fan. I’m sure I would have appreciated it more if it had less onions, or caramelized onions in the broth.
Tucked away, this down to earth, Japanese Steakhouse has perfected their sushi. A local favorite, The Oshkosh Roll, really packs a punch! With just the right amount of sweet, heat, and crunch, it’ll have your tastebuds craving more. And, as you know, an orderor two of California rolls is a must. So fresh! Finesse at its finest.
I stopped at Sakura on my way to the U.P which was a very pleasant experience the food was very good. I had 3 rolls and some miso soup. I recommend
They're pretty good, not much for choice up in these parts. I was just there for dinner - the place looks a bit sad after COVID. We ordred like $60 worth of sushi and a veggie bentobox $22. The Volcano rolls are so good. Any tempura roll won't disappoint. It's pretty expensive for some rolls $15+ and you don't get very much and it's very salty. We ordered the plum wine and they must have a different vendor because it tasted horribly sweet. I had the chicken tempura, chicken udon and yaki soba, all at separate times last year. I ordered carryout and the food; it was cold when I picked it up even though I was ready for the pickup as soon as it notified me. The udon also had a hair in it, but they made it right and credited me like $9 for next time I come in. Vegetarian options: Lots of choices Parking: Good, ample, close
At least one of not two of my family members pick this place for their birthday dinner. We love this place. The birthday song and flashing lights make it great for the young ones. Kid-friendliness: The kids think the flaming volcano made from the onion is the greatest thing ever. There are usually 8-10 of us that goes so don't let my previous answer about the cost being over $100 think it's expensive because it's not. Parking: The parking lot is shared by other businesses. There's plenty but you may have to walk a little bit. Don't let that deter you from going tho.
We ordered a hibachi dinner but not at the actual hibachi table. We were seated in a booth, which was perfect because we weren’t looking for the whole hibachi entertainment. I ordered chicken and shrimp with fried rice and noodles on the side. My husband ordered the seafood but added chicken to it. The food did not come out hot. It was warm as if it had been sitting out for a while cooling off waiting to be served. The flavor was delicious. I just wish it was steaming hot but it was still warm enough for me not to complain about it and still enjoy it. The service was great. I ordered a virgin daiquiri and that was delicious. I would definitely consider returning.
We were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday. Sakura is his favorite sushi place and we enjoy the hibachi. Our waitress was kind, funny, and hospitable. Although we had a reservation for hibachi, we decided to use a back lounge area to enjoy a more quiet environment. They were extremely busy. Food was as always delicious, portions are large.
In the past I have enjoyed this restaurant but this was my last visit. 2 of my dishes had shrimp, 1 roll and pan noodles. I found multiple shrimp in both dishes that were not de-veined. I showed these to the waiter and he took some of the shrimp into the back to show the manager. That was the last time I ever saw the waiter, he did not even come back to check drinks or bring the check. When I finally did get the manager he just said that is how they come. He made zero attempt to make things right.
Fast service, great employees and the food was delicious!
