Omg. This is my new favorite restaurant. Fresh and authentic Vietnamese food. Absolutely delicious! There’s a bar but The hot ginger tea was amazingly healing. So good.
Cliff note version: Good food, menus need updating many items on the menu are not available, server was fairly neglectful in their tasks, high prices, and an okay atmosphere. The food we received was delicious. The fish was fresh with a few good portions some on the thin side. That said, we tried to order multiple things from the menu, including three different beers they didn't have. Then I ordered Ramen and when I asked where the seaweed and bamboo shoots were after it arrived at the table both listed on the menu I was told they had seaweed but forgot to add it and there were no bamboo shoots. My family and i understand there are stocking issues with Covid. However, if that's the case then customers should be made aware of ingredients listed that aren't available in the dish they order. After all, you're paying for the full dish. The prices were also high compared to other places with the same cuisine and the service wasn't the best. We had to yell across the restaurant repeatedly to get our servers attention after waiting for long intervals to get chopsticks, glasses of water, soy sauce dishes, etc. We are very patient people but this was excessive. That was when it was just us and one other table there. We could see our server sitting down, talking to another employee, and just not paying attention to his tables. It was an okay experience, nothing to rave about. Not planning on going back anytime soon.
Arrived at 6:44, about 18 others dining. We didn't receive drinks Two waters, two adult beveragesuntil 7:18. Both adult beverages were horrible and needed remade. One glass was filthy. as shown in pics Was told the waitress was new and didn't know how to make the drinks. I ordered Mongolian Beef which was good. Gf ordered some kind of Chasu Ramen which was good as well, but missing seaweed and bamboo shoots. The white rice that came with dinner was very hard and clumped up. Overall this place falls in the bottom five restaurants I've eaten at across the Nation. Won't be back. I understand the waitress Russian is new, but as we were leaving one of the employees female Chinese was sitting down scolding the new waitress in front of customers Very unprofessional.

Compared to other japanese restaurants we have dined at we were disappointed. Portion size of hibachi didn't match the high price. Alcoholic drinks were weak and syrupy. Scallops were raw......not cooked at all. Waitress was very nice, but overwhelmed and forgetful. Our salad was the best part of the meal and that was just lettuce, 1 tomato, and ginger dressing. Overall for the price not to happy.
Tried Sake Asian Fusion for the first time. We went on a Sunday afternoon, so it was not busy. All of the food was amazing and so delicious. I tried Thai basil Chicken for the first time and it is now my new favorite. Also the sushi, curry and appetizers were all excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Parking: It is inside of a mall, so there is plenty of parking.
Sadly, Sake has gone downhill in quality and service. We used to love the place but now they employ a single waitress to work the whole restaurant and she's overworked and visibly stressed. Sushi was old and fishy tasting. Owner not seem to care. :
Great food. Excellent customer service. Comfy dine in experience if it's not too busy. My favorite place in Michigan City. Took an hour to get a take out order on my birthday but it was a Friday night & my bf sucks at planning. It's well worth the wait I wasn't the least bit bothered. Hope your business flourishes.
We were greeted and seated right away. Drinks showed up right after our final guest arrived. Appetizers arrived very quickly and they were amazing! We were never left unattended and our entrees were very soon to follow after the appetizers were done. The table was cleared for our bigger plates without any need to move them towards the edge of the table. Our drinks were refilled before they were empty. The food and the atmosphere was wonderful. Prices very reasonable. My hubby wants to go back already after a little over 24 hours! Trust me, we will be back many, many times! Thank you!
