They have many food options to choose from compared to other Japanese restaurants. We enjoyed and savored the food. Would definitely go back again. We paid cash and have discount by doing so. Almost 40 dollars per person for dinner time on weekends, but worth it. All the food we ordered were eaten and nothing was wasted. Free parking. All you can eat restaurant.
1 star – Extremely Disappointed and OffendednnI’ve been to Sakana House several times before and always had a good experience — until today. Today was unacceptable and honestly, I left the restaurant feeling disrespected and angry.nnFirst, we asked to sit in the inner section of the restaurant. The staff member a woman flatly told us that area was closed. Fine, we didn’t argue. But 20 minutes later, she let other guests sit in that same “closed” section. Seriously?nSecond, when we finished our meal, we only had three tiny pieces of sushi left. Just three. And the staff tried to charge us extra for that — even though it’s an all-you-can-eat restaurant! What kind of service is that? Thankfully, we were so frustrated that my husband just ate them so we wouldn’t have to argue.nnAnd throughout the whole visit, the staff’s attitude was cold, rude, and completely unprofessional. We didn’t feel welcome at all — which is such a shame because we used to love coming here.nnThis kind of behavior is not okay. I will never return, and I strongly suggest others think twice before coming here. There are plenty of other restaurants that actually respect their customers.
Been here about 10 times in the last year, food is pretty decent …. Service is usually great… but not tonight….. here’s why… they offer 10% off if you pay cash, but if you don’t finish all your rolls a few pieces of the rolls that contained zero seafood they take your cash and don’t come back with your change. lol if your not going to offer your discount, the proper customer service procedure, would be to inform the guest. Not just walk away Hana with the money and no explanation. The explanation after asking 3 people… the original bill/money taker Hana said we didn’t finish the rolls, so we get no discount. Maybe if you mentioned this when we paid, there would be no issue. But really seemed like the server was being shady. Seemed like she made it up. So she got a $30 tip instead. We ended up paying the bill at full price, she wouldn’t give back the money anyways lol and still proceeded to leave a 18% tip after tax because the other staff were so nice.
Bringing vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items in the same plate with fish eggs spilling over to the vegetarian Sushis, confusion amongst the staff over ordered items, and an incorrect bill !!!nnTo add to this, we did not like the taste of any of the vegetarian food items we had ordered.nnThis couldn't have gotten worse. It was hard to conclude whether the staff was having a bad day or us.nnHowever, giving one star just because we were served a complimentary ice cream whose flavors again did not taste good.
We’ve been coming here many times and always left happy, but today was a huge disappointment. First, we asked for a seat in the inner section and were told it was closed — only to see other people seated there 20 minutes later. Then, we were forced to eat the last 3 small pieces of food or be charged, which has never happened before at this or other similar restaurants. The staff were incredibly rude about it.nnTo make it worse, they usually offer a 10% discount for cash payments — but this time they didn’t. When we asked about it, the staff gave a rude response and handed us the bill with no explanation.nnI normally don’t leave reviews, but the attitude today was unacceptable and the service was shockingly bad. Policies seem to have changed for the worse, and from looking at other people’s reviews, it seems like we’re not the only ones having this kind of experience. Very disappointed and not planning to come back.
