Guys! This small hidden treasure in whitecourt is a must. The place is super clean, the people are so friendly and courteous. If you are looking for that Mediterranean, Lebanese and local flavours, this is your spot. The offer a lot of variety of food and their menu is awesome. I had the the chicken platter with pita bread and I was in heaven. I wish my stomach was bigger to order more items. They have cool shakes, vegan options and chicken fingers if the kids are fuzzy. The hummus was on point and the pickle vegetables hit the taste buds just perfect. The prices are more than fair and the food portions are perfect. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. Till the next one… have fun and eat well. Makes sure to follow me on Instagram. #chicosreviews
On our way from Jasper to Edmonton, we took a detour to specifically check out the Shawarma at this place. The menu, reviews and photos seemed amazing but the shawarma itself was average. The chicken was lacking in flavor and the fries that weren't crispy to begin with inside the shawarma ruined the taste for me. There wasn't enough salt, hot sauce or any other flavors other than the veggies. Thankfully the Zaatar sauce on the outside helped salvage some of the taste. Enjoyed the Mirinda drink even though it was priced on par with what a fine dining restaurant charges >$3. Giving this place 2 stars because it looks better than it tastes.
Why did you guys have to move to Whitecourt Living in North East BC, no great shawarma that could really hold a candle next to shawarma we were accustomed to while living in Ontario and/or Quebec, until some years ago we found one in Grande Prairie AB. We would take a road trip to GP, stay at hotel for weekends with the kids, just so that we could have shawarma day and night throughout our stay Then life got busy and somehow we couldn't find the time to do our ritual and when we finally returned to GP again, the shawarma placed was gone A trip to Edmonton made us find the shawarma place again. They had moved to Whitecourt! Way further We were happy but sad at the same time. We dined in, ordered some for take out as we had ice cooler in the car. Left full, happy but yeah bittersweet as Whitecourt is just too damn far. We missed you and glad you have more business in Whitecourt than in GP. More success to you, guys. Awesome, awesome flavor for sure. Move to FSJ, please!
Bought their sajj wrap which is a cauliflower wrap. Unfortunately cauliflower was completely burnt, you see that in the pics. That burnt taste spoiled my entire lunch. You should not serve the food to the cutomer which you will not eat. I might give then one more chance because of my love for Shawarma.Food: 1/5
I honestly don't know why you'd eat anywhere else in Whitecourt. Amazing service and quality food. They make everything in house, and it's evident in every bite. Flavors are amazing yet not overdone. The hummus alone will blow your mind, but the garlic sauce is amazing in its own right. Gluten free options are available, but their fryer is cross contaminated with pita, at least currently. Their shawarma is all gluten free. They are trustworthy and the food tastes incredible. Seriously, stop in here. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian Parking: Tons Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan
It's a smaller space but the service was very enjoyable! There was a man and women cooking and getting our food ready who seemed very cheerful. Asking if it was our first time there he served us a free beverage in return. The food was so good . I have gluten and dairy sensitivities and don't have many options for fast food anymore. My hubby on the other hand loves A&W. Finding a good place that we both can can be pleased with the food is a challenge. This place was perfect! Combined with the pleasant atmosphere left an impact on us both. We will be back next time we are travelling together from his work site to home for sure!
Great place! Highly recommend checking it out. Amazing food and service! Drove from Edmonton to check out Hard Luck Canyon, and this was recommend to us from a friend that came by a few weeks ago. I got the Sajj Wrap, it was delicious. Highly recommended it. Very tasty and I would get it again. My step son had the chicken shawarma wrap, and he enjoyed it very much. My daughter had the cheese hotdog and she said it was delicious, she said it 3-4 times while eating it. My wife and mother in-law shared a chicken shawarma platter. They really enjoyed that as well. We even got some to go, to take it back to Edmonton.
Food is good. When you’re to pay though, it will ask you to select a tip option starting at 15%. For a food joint, really? There are restaurants with proper seating, atmosphere, and service that includes refilling your water and they still have tip options starting at 12%. To justify a higher tip, provide a better service. Customers are not expected to tip at a food court.
Delicious food and great staff. I purposely make this one of my stops whenever I'm passing through town. Can't go wrong with any of the options but I recommend the combo with wedges and garlic dip!Food: 5/5
Advertising is great. The food is not that good. The chicken was very dry and seemed a bit burnt. The cutlery was plastic. Left confused as presentation of food was good , but didn't taste as good as it looked.
