As a current student at SAIT, I can say that this school truly excels in delivering a high-quality, hands-on education. The instructors are knowledgeable and approachable, often bringing valuable industry experience into the classroom. The facilities are also impressive, with modern equipment and resources that give students a taste of real-world work environments. Each program is designed with a strong focus on practical skills, which I believe will give me a competitive edge in my future career.nnHowever, one downside I’ve experienced is the cost. The tuition fees are quite high, which can be challenging for students who are balancing studies with financial responsibilities. Despite the cost, I feel that the quality of education and the opportunities available, such as internships and industry connections, make it a worthwhile investment. SAIT provides an enriching learning experience, and although the financial aspect is tough, I believe it’s preparing me well for the workforce.
Go anywhere else, seriously!nI recently tried to withdraw from a course in my program due to a medical injury, and they denied it. I had a severe back injury and went to the doctor to get the form filled out to withdraw.nnThe doctor filled out the form and clearly noted on it that I had a back injury and I couldn't return to class for 2 weeks. Mind you; this was a 4-week practicum. As such, even if I had to miss 1 day, I would have to withdraw from it. The doctor told me that regardless of my injury, that is the maximum allowable time she can write me off for, which is understandable.nnThen I sent the form in, but they denied it as it needed to be written for 4 weeks. The doctor wrote in the form that she could write for a maximum of 2 weeks, but if they needed more, they should still be able to use this form. It's an absolutely ridiculous school, a waste of time and money. Go to any other school in Calgary, and you'll get treated like a human.nnThe classes at SAIT are taught very poorly, and most instructors either don't care or have a glaring sign of obvious incompetence in their field of instruction and signs of inexperience that result in very poor learning outcomes.
Absolutely shocked by SAIT’s decision to choose a valedictorian with clear academic misconduct and attendance issues. It’s incredibly frustrating for hardworking students who dedicated time and effort to their studies, only to see someone rewarded who barely attended classes and seemed to prioritize networking over academic integrity. This sends the wrong message to students who push through harsh winter conditions just to stay committed to their education. How can someone who shows such disregard for the rules and their classmates be chosen as a representative of the student body?nnThe administration appears completely out of touch with what it means to be a good student. It seems that if you’re good at making connections and keeping up appearances, you’ll be recognized, while actual hard-working, diligent students are overlooked. This process is demoralizing and reflects poorly on the institution.nnBeyond that, the school imposes endless fees on students—many of which feel unjustifiable. For example, being forced to pay for a CPass when you drive and don’t need it is just one example of how little consideration is given to the individual student’s circumstances. Add to that the outrageously expensive per-hour parking fees, and it feels like they are more interested in squeezing every dollar out of us than providing value for the education they claim to offer.nnThe quality of education itself is outdated, especially for a tech program where up-to-date knowledge is crucial. Learning materials from over a decade ago are not preparing students for the current job market, leaving us feeling unprepared and, frankly, cheated after paying nearly 50K CAD for this experience. Most classrooms are empty because they still rely heavily on online learning, despite having the resources for in-person instruction.nnThe school may be good at advertising itself, but in my experience, that’s where the positives end. I would never recommend SAIT to anyone, and I regret choosing it for my education. They may claim to care about students, but the reality is far from it.
I just spoke to an advisor named Tommy or Tomi. He was asking questions which we answered to access my son's account. We gave him his SAIT ID number, some personal information, etc..when he asked us about the email address we used, I gave him 2 email addresses because I was not sure which email address I used for I have tons of email addresses for specific reasons.. he did not allow that because I did not give the correct one which is nonsense! Can he not access it using the information we provided? Are those information not enough! He was asking me to email. I have been emailing an advisor and I have been waiting for a response. He was not helping at all.
SAIT is a terrible college any international student should go to. They are scammers. They charge you full tuition and doesn’t even respect the time and effort each student has made to apply to this ugly college.nThe school failed to confirm my Confirmation of enrolment on the IRCC portal which resulted in closure of my application. Because of them I am on a restoration status as of today. I was supposed to graduate on December 15, a month away to complete the program. Now I have been withdrawn from the courses, cannot work at my part time job and my practicum was all set to start in January, which is an issue too.nThe college is still not accepting their fault. They are not supporting me in any way. I would never recommend anybody to come and waste their international fees at such a school who doesn’t care about their students.nSAIT IS JUST NOT WORTH IT..
