Best care and support a patient could have. From community services to emergency they are helpful. The safest place I feel in Saskatchewan
Worst service ever. It’s been 3 hours I’m waiting for the doctor. My nose is bleeding and I’m really tired of fever and sore throat. The doctor is simply sitting here and talking on her phone. I hope this won’t happen to any other patients.
Horrible horrible service, no compassion for their patients, telling them to shut up and quit crying, they told my sister to shut up and quit crying when she was in VISIBLE pain, you guys need to teach your staff about empathy and compassion in the work place when working as nurses or doctors, you may see these patients as paycheques but to others they’re people they care about and trust you guys enough to help ease their pain but you guys can’t even have an ounce of compassion when it comes to your patients, or it could be a race thing with you guys I don’t know just get better staff members who show compassion and actually DO their jobs instead of sitting around listening to people in pain, this hospital is a joke and should do better in terms of being humans with a career you guys actually want to do instead of working for the money
Very lazy doctors!! They’ll sit around and do nothing while you wait! Definitely not a very good hospital! The staff sits around and laughs while you wait! Horrible service!!
Like any hospital, occasional wait times might be longer than a person wants. I've never had an unreasonable wait time. Nurse and lab care has always been fantastic, prompt and professional. Staff are more than accommodating and go beyond the basic call of duty.
While waiting with my husband I overheard one of the nurses tell the elderly man next to us the pharmacy would have his "goodies" ready for him... since when are pills called "goodies"? Glad my kids were in the waiting room. If I absolutely HAVE to go then fine. The wait time is often insane 2-5hrs before you get a room most times.
Been here twice now, first time had an awful experience with one of the nurses. Rude and snippy at admissions. Rolled her eyes at me... luckily the other staff have been very patient and pleasant. Doctor was great both times. Wait times are painfully long, though. Easily 4 hours each time.
After seeing the first nurse I nearly walked out. She spent ten minutes drilling me about how long I planned to live in Melville, when I arrived and what I did for a living and showed no concern what so ever for the symptoms. This was clearly someone with a hang up about their job and she cut the attitude when I mentioned I was a reporter. Then I end up with the most fantastic doctor I've seen in years - he was empathetic, patient, explained everything and when I told him about how I'm hoping to attend med school one day, if I can ever afford it, he was non judgemental and seemed very pleased to speak with me openly and showed me the x-rays - just the sort of guy any resident would dream of working with. Then I had the blood work done by another nurse - I don't get the feeling that she was having a good day; but I can't complain about her skills, it was the least unpleasant blood work I've ever had done. So all in all the outstanding doctor really made all of the difference.
The nurses are 120% amazing, not a bad thing to say about them at all. The doctors are either the same as nurses or they are 4 hours late in the emergency room. Also pretty disappointing that it's such a beautiful hospital but can't even deliver babies there. Again, massive praises for the nurses!
Hospital staff very clearly do not care about it's patients pain. Suffering from a toothache that sounds small but is very painful. They didn't want to give me pain medication themselves, perfering me to go to a pharmacy at 12am, and telling me that Tylenol will help when I am already past the recommended daily dosage and am not able to take anymore. Came back twice and both times was only recommended Tylenol.
