Sage Lanes is the local bowling alley in the town of Kemmerer, Wyoming. They are under new management, who are working hard to undo both the physical and emotional scars left by previous management. Judging from what we encountered when we stopped in for the first time yesterday, they're on the right track. The place was nice and clean, and we were pleased to see that the bar was non-smoking. As previous reviewers have stated, they do serve food, which is cooked to order, usually by the owner. It may take a little more time to arrive than at other restaurants, but we found it well worth the wait. We wish the best of luck to Malinda and her husband in restoring Sage Lanes back to its proper place in the community, and our band looks forward to playing there on St. Patrick's Day!
Came in from out of state and from the moment I walked in the bartender was giving me and my boyfriend dirty looks and we sat at the table and waited for 20mins at least and she kept looking at us and still not came and got out order and got someone else’s order that was at the bar who was after us, the food was super good and the cook was the one who brought our food out. Witnessed the bartender yell at the cook multiple times while he was just doing his job and she had other people who were not workers taking food out and grabbing drinks, the owner is no better instead of just saying she would talk to the bartender she was instead very rude
I scheduled a month in advance to have my daughters birthday party here. We arrived to find the ONE lane had open they had rented it out to others and we had to wait to bowl. After one frame the lane got jammed up and the staff was too busy in the bar for 40 minutes to reset the lane for us. The pizza was burned black on the bottom and the kids wouldn’t eat it. The staff ignored us like we were an inconvenience. We had to ask twice for the cups to fill our own drinks instead of pitchers being brought out like they do for other parties. This was an awful party experience to the point I refused to pay for anything other than the food and drinks had originally agreed to pay $15 per child we were then charged $72 for 3 pizzas! I’m disgusted and will never return to this joke of a business.
New owner and new management… very excited to be spending some time here!
Awesome service and best ruban sandwich I've had in a while. Was very satisfied. The lady there was very friendly and could see she she works her tail off. Plus I like that they r open for food later than everywhere else in this town. It works best for us since my man doesn't get off work till 7 pm
I went here with a group of friends. The bartender was extremely rude and kept giving me death glares there owner/manger Jen was also extremely disrespectful when we tried giving her our opinion on how we were being treated this place needs to be fixed bad needs better attitude environment 100% I would like this to be fixed asap or I’ll never come back
Family was in town and wanted to go bowling. Arrived there early in the evening and planned to do some bowling as well as trying some food there. But we were instead informed that they only had one lane open that was in use, so there was "nothing they could do." I can't say I know the ins and outs of bowling alley operations, but the existence of 4-5 other, unused, lanes struck me as especially odd and insulting. We were also the only individuals wearing masks from what I could see, so I hope that it wasn't that. I'm glad to see the kids that were already there were enjoying themselves, but I guess they also didn't have shoes in their sizes since they were just bowling in socks. Again, not an alley expert, but from what I can glean from a brief online search, the whole point of these shoes is to keep the lanes clean and provide as safe an environment as possible. Fairly unpleasant experience all around so I can't say I'll be returning or inviting others there in the future. The one upside is how we all had a great laugh about the ridiculousness of it all, which will surely be a great memory for visiting family to tell others about Kemmerer.
Hardly anything was available. We chose this place because it was just about the only thing open in town. They were out of stock of fries, onion rings, nachos, burgers and wings. The service was extremely slow, but she was giving some steep discounts for the inconveniences. Would likely only go back for bowling.
Awesome service, and great food. It was quite entertaining to eat and drink here.
Great food and entertainment for the family!! Loved their stuffed burgers and Philly cheese steaks! Lots of appetizers to choose from while the kids are bowling too! Very yummy!!
