While this is a better Safeway in the city they can improve in a few areas. The pharmacy tells me that theyll call when my prescription is ready, i dont hear from them for a week - reach out and they said I didnt pick up the medication so they sent it back. Asked why they never called and they didnt answer so will never go back for the pharmacy. Check out is usually slow or rude cashiers so I tend to do self check out, until you need assistance from someone and they're 4 tills down just talking to another cashier ignoring self check out. I stood there for 5 minutes while looking at her as she looked over multiple times but she was more interested in talking about a book she just got. I left my groceries and left, learn how to read the room and help customers and gossip later.
Exceptional service! Finally an old school Safeway with Staff that are helpful! Not attempting to treat customers as criminals because of forgetting to scan the disposable bag valued @ $0.25!!nnI recently reviewed a neighbouring Safeway after a couple of bad experiences and what a breath of fresh air this place was. Store was clean and stocked well despite my 930 arrival. Well worth the extra drive from home! Especially the very helpful and courteous Lady working the self checkout right before closing. She should definitely get a pay raise if possible for her next level customer service skills. She almost single handedly just added one more family to your list or loyal customers. Great experience all around!nnThank you.
Great meat selection, they even have prepared stuffed pork roasts and pork belly cut into strips. Nice clean store I highly recommend this location!
Extremely clean, tidy and well organized! Was our first time here and wanted to to get away from the Costco craziness. Definitely pleased with the produce, products and overall staff. Super helpful and stocked items. Read some of the other reviews… I guess we were there at the right time as everything from what we saw seemed fresh and in stock.
On the high end for pricing which is why it is pretty quiet. Found our cashier to be abrupt, barking “the other till is open” just as we placed our item on the belt.nUmm? You don’t want to serve us?nApparently she was just a humourless grump who grumped her way through our groceries.nnIf that had been my first experience as a newbie to the community I would’ve found a different grocery store to be “my store”. Luckily we’re from out of town
