Bought chicken tenders at this location today from the Deli. The lady that was working assured they were fresh. Unfortunately they were not. There is literally no chicken left from being so dried out. Was very excited for chicken tenders. Thanks for nothing!
There needs to be more things on special the way inflation is. Also it's sad the number of homeless who are inside the store. Plus the bathroom needs a complete overhaul. Safeway Northill locks their bathroom, an employee unlocks it for you. Too much drug use in there. Safeway kensington should look into this. Sad with the homeless outside begging for money! Cops are there mostly. Feel bad for the employees sometimes. The self check out tills need to get fixed of all the glitches. Plus they should still be cleaned after every customer. I would like to say that Safeway has a great tea selection if you need that. The baking and spice area is great as I found things for baking that I needed. Also the chip area does have sales. You just need to look this over.
This rating is for Diamond Parking at this Safeway. I went into Safeway to get a few items and got an $83 dollar ticket stating I left the parking lot. I send in an appeal with my Safeway receipt showing evidence that I shopped at the store and they denied the appeal and said I left the lot when I did not. My husband asked if they had any evidence that we left the lot and they did not. Isn't it innocent until proven guilt in this country? They arrogantly told my husband that they can issue tickets whenever they feel like it. I have been shopping at this Safeway since 2018 and have never had this issue before but I no longer want to shop here with these fraudulent tickets! I suspect their employees get some sort of commission or bonuses around the amount of tickets they issue. For anyone who has received these tickets DO NOT PAY THEM! It will not affect your credit and it will not show up on your registration. I was also advised to file a report with the BBB and Calgary Police against this company which I also encourage you all to do. You can also report a complaint directly to Safeway on their website and urge them to discontinue their contract with this company.
I’ve occasionally been at this Safeway for many years now but this is my first time seeing/interacting with Jacquie and wow let me tell you this woman is the kindest most lovely person to walk the planet. My friends and I were just getting some deli for a charcuterie and she was soso helpful by hand picking these delicious meats for us. Had such a lovely chat with her after. I am not one to be loyal to a grocery store but she makes me wanna come back even just to say hi. Portia I believe her name was was also very kind and helped us out as well. Both such lovely people
I typically don't write reviews but after being treated to the best customer service EVER, I just had to. I came here to get last minute dinner with my friends and the lovely Jackie came and told us about a deal that was going on that would've saved me money. She was extremely personable and such a pleasure to talk to. Portia, who did the beautiful art for the Deli signs, was also very lovely to talk to! It's so nice to see people who enjoy what they do.
