Don't bother. I live 10 minutes from the store and decided to stop in to look for a new car seat for my 3 year old. In the 10-15 minutes that I stood around by the car seats not one employee came over to offer help. There was only 1 other person in the store. This isn't the first time I've had this experience. To be clear, I wasn't going to buy a car seat here, not after my last experience. Their "car seat tech" installed our car seat. I could tell that someone was wrong, double checked the manual when I came home and called the store to let them know for the future. The owner just blew me off like it was no big deal that the car seat was installed incorrectly.
I have never been treated so poorly by customer service and management. I recently made a $400 purchase and was not informed that it was a final sale. Although their receipt says you can return items within 14 days if you are unsatisfied for any reason this is not the case. My purchase was unused and still in its original packaging. I explained that I would not have driven over an hour from my house to their store if I had been told it was a final sale but they refused to listen. I then called my credit card company to help me dispute this claim. The owner of the store came out to speak on my phone with my representative and proceeded to tell her that I was a liar and that their sales associate had informed me although she was not working so I do not know how they could know this. The owner then handed me back the phone and asked me to leave the store. Another employee working there then asked me if I need to purchase reading lessons referring to me needing to read through all of the fine print on the receipt. I am truly saddened by the fact that I was called a liar and stupid to my face. Please be very, very cautious before purchasing anything from this store. I do not recommend this store nor wish this experience on anyone.
Google should enable this rating system to get zero star or even minus. Don't even think about purchasing anything from this store. I had the worst online shopping experience ever. I ordered a stroller over a month prior to my due date after I made a call to make sure that it was in stock, and was told it would be delivered whithin 3 days or so. I waited for a week and still didn't get it so I called again and this time I was told to wait for one more week. I waited another week and still didn't get it so I called one more time. Couldn't believe what I was told, the stroller didn't even exist at the store when I placed an order again, I made sure it's availability over the phone! and he said they would need 2 more weeks to get it in their hand. At this point I wanted to cancel the order and get it from other place but the stroller I was getting was so damn hard to find in town and seemed like they were the only one who had it, so I decided to give it a last try. 2 weeks and a few days later on the promised delivery date, I was waiting for it to arrive at my door but it didn't come but instead I received a phone call from the store manager. She said there was a mistake on shipping and the product was still sitting at the store. She made me choose whether I wait few more days or pick it up at the store which is like 45 mins drive away from my place. I refused both and told her to get someone to deliver it to me in person on that day because it was impossible to trust them anymore after so many lies and mistakes, but that wasn't what she would want to do. The way she spoke was rude even and never said sorry! I got the stroller just before I delivered my child after all but wasn't happy at all. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
I needed to buy products to toddler proof our house and was actually quite surprised by the wide array of items they sell. Some of the stuff was neat and I hadn't seen it before but when it came to actual safety items I was really disappointed. The selection was no better than any other baby store maybe even not as good. I didn't end up getting what I needed which was something to secure the front door and a baby gate they did have some gates but very minimal style choices. The name is really misleading, I didn't find anything super about their safety selection.
We called this store to ask them if they had a specific brand of car seat in stock. They said they did. So my husband drove -with our toddler - all the way out Oakville, and what do you know? They didn't have it in stock. No one apologized or explained. Our review - incompetent, rude, and under stocked. Don't patronize this place.
Worst customer service ever! I went in there to buy locks for my kitchen cabinets and nobody, out of the 5 employees all standing behind the front desk, offered me any help. After weighing the pros and cons of my options thanks to google on my phone, NOT the employees I asked someone a simple pricing inquiry, they said I would have to wait for some manager who was in the back room. I waited, and waited......aaaaaand waited. Meanwhile, I have a 13 month old who was getting as impatient as I was, and all the 5 employees just stood there with their noses in their computers, completely ignoring me. Finally I just said forget it, I'm not waiting for this lady, as she clearly doesn't want my business. Then One of the girls says "just give her the discount, it's no big deal". Ummmm thanks? You couldn't have just said that 25 minutes ago? Too bad for them, I was really interested in purchasing a double stroller from them, but decided during my unnecessarily long wait, that I would much rather take my business elsewhere for a big purchase like that.
I didn't know about this place when my kids were babies, and I wish I had. Mums of babies and toddlers, you should go here! It is the best place for all things baby and toddler. The products are not just safety oriented. They also have toys, clothes, furniture, feeding accessories...everything. When I needed to find hearing protection for a baby, they were the only retailer in the Oakville/Burlington/Mississauga area to carry anything in stock. I have also bought the cutest leg warmers for my girls here. They are meant to protect your baby's knees when they are crawling, but they look stylish worn as leg warmers for young dancers. Prices are average; some are on the low side, some of the eating utensils/containers are on the high side. Go and take a look; the store is huge.
This company has been incredibly incompetent. They canceled our stroller order, took days to figure out why their error, and were very rude on the phone. Going weeks without a stroller with 3 kids in summer was a big challenge, and I won't order from them again :
Really bad experience with an online purchase. The item I bought was listed as "brand new" but what arrived was a used closer to abused product. Safety Superstore would not even respond to my complaint. Do yourself a favour and make your online purchases with a more reputable seller. I definitely will not have any business with them again.
This place has its moments. It can be great with its selection of products, free online shopping $40 minimum order, car seat installation service 1sr install free with purchase of seat and it's next door to Carter's and PetSmart. Most of the staff are very knowledgeable and has alot of demos of popular itemsUppababy strollers, Kidco gates, Babybjorn carriers etc. But the store is dated, the layout and displays are old, prices can be a bit high and sometimes you can hear shouting from the backroom I think it's a Manager or one of the Owners TLDR, better then baby's r us, not as good as other specialty stores
