Russell Up Some Grub Family Diner

This place is fantastic! The portions are huge, and the food is great! I really appreciated the friendly and humorous staff!

Based on the reviews, I thought I would enjoy this restaurant more than I did. My daughter and I stopped in for lunch as we were travelling through town. No complaints about the service, but the menu prices seemed high. My daughter ordered a salad for her meal, but it was not that large for a $15 entree. I ordered a soup and side salad, but the soup was not hot and I had to have it reheated. The restaurant was okay.

Great little spot! Had breakfast and lunch here. You can tell they locally source what they can and so many fresh items. The breads have been to die for, everything had lots of flavour and the staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone driving through or stopping in Swift Current.

They have a really great breakfast menu! Our waitress was really nice and gave us our space as we were catching up with a family member. The food was so good, and the portions were fairly big.

Without question the best sandwich I've ever had. Big portion, tasty meats. I will say that the fries needed a little work. Otherwise, it was worth the trip.

Definitely a place to go for out-of-province visitors looking for some Saskatchewan-specific dishes, I'm looking at you, bison burger, Mennonite alfredo, and deep dish Saskatoon berry pie! If you can't relax and enjoy the diner feeling here, it's not for you. This is a restaurant meant for taking the afternoon off and chatting with a friend over lunch, dessert, and just-one-more-cup of coffee. If it weren't for that feeling, I'd have a bigger beef with the strange hours.

I got take out and I will admit the food was good but for an $18 chicken tender meal I would've expected more than 4 small strips, it's like they give you a pound a fries with it to substitute the small amount of protein.

Always tasty and often interesting. When I have out of town friends to take for lunch we often go here so they can try the quirky local dishes.

This place was recommended by friends. We tried it and we were disappointed. Waited 1 hour for an pricey, greasy sandwich. There are much better places to eat in Swift Current.

A very good place to eat! Great portions and taste. The staff was very pleasant. Really glad we stopped there.
