Four of us enjoyed lunch at the Runways Cafe. My smoked meal sandwich was excellent and fries nice and crispy. Lunch special was chicken BLT on bun with brocolli cheddar soup soup if the day. Service was excellent and fast. Make sure to check times, as restaurant is open from 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and lunches and closes at 3:00 p.m. Closed on Sundays. Kid-friendliness: Has a children's menu. Kids will love watching small planes take off Parking: There are some free spots in front of restaurant. Other paid parking is available too.
Watch the pilots in training from the big porch, let the kids dream and gaze in fascination, and have a decent meal while you’re at it. Excellent, friendly service. This is a favourite weekend breakfast spot even when we’re not traveling!
Nice little cafe/diner had a nice little breakfast shared it with my wife and we were both satisfied...nice little patio you can watch planes depart and arrive with nice views
We might be regulars here because the owners and their staff treat us like family. Oh and when they have mushroom soup, it is beyond comparison!! Well the schnitzel on a bun is the best around as well. The service can't be beat and great views of the aircraft operations round out the experience. We go 12 months of the year.
The food is yummy. The service is excellent. The views is amazing. Perfect restaurant for airplanes lovers and kids.
Beware!!!! The food is not the best quality!!The Greek salad and smoked meat sandwich were good other than the fake chicken that was added for $2.99. Also ordered 2 crispy chicken sandwiches… the fries were good, the chicken sandwich was no good at all, it was also a breaded piece of fake chicken, not worth the $17.49 at all.
This is a good place for a bite to eat, whether you drive or fly in. Especially nice is the patio in the summer. If you fly in, park on apron 2b and there is an entrance from the flight centre apron. If you drive here, there is free parking for the first 1 1/2 hour, so keep that in mind.

Great service, wonderful place to watch the action on the airstrip while enjoying breakfast or lunch. Just steps to the terminal and open to the public not just travellers. Only downside is can get very noisy on the patio as it is located directly beside the flight training centre where small prop planes are continually starting and running sometimes for lengthy periods of time.
We made a special trip for my nephews second birthday. It was perfect for him. Watching the planes is why you go here as the breakfast food is pretty simple. Service was also spot on
