We went to Rumbi Island Grill as we found a Buy One, Get One Free coupon in the Hometown Values magazine. When I was getting ready to pay, the girl looked at the coupon and said their system is down and could not process the coupon. She charged me for two entrées at regular price. I immediately got an alert from my credit card company, which leads me to believe that their system wasn’t down. Hypothetically, if the software processing coupon was connected to a different system & it was offline, she still could have honored the coupon by ringing me up for just one entrée. The food was good but if they are not willing honor the coupons that they advertise in the Hometown Values magazine, their corporate office should come down and start asking questions.
Normally our visits have been super good. But the last couple times my chicken has been old, burnt and chewy. My salad had a very little lettuce but tons of Crunchies on top. My husband's sandwich was so full of grease he could barely eat it.
Good food, I had a BOGO coupon otherwise I wouldn't go. Really it's just a BUNCH of rice which cost nothing and some veggies with a small serving of meat. It was good but for the price I wouldn't go back. With those margins they should really consider knocking price down since rice cost virtually nothing to makeFood: 5/5
Xitlalic and Dani were very helpful and kind during our visit, our food came out fast and it was delicious. Definitely coming back because of their remarkable service. And care for the customers.
The prices are the same, but the portions are substantially smaller. At every other Rumbis I have visited, the bowl comes with sauce on the chicken with an extra cup of sauce with the meal and if you need an extra they will gladly give you one free of charge. Here no sauce on chicken and they charge for any additional sauce cups. At the other locations, chips and salsa comes with with two cups of salsa, here only one cup of salsa and less chips. Very disappointed.... EDIT: For verification I have added photos from Riverdale Rumbi's proving the portions at this location are ridiculous
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was also quite good. It was a great dinner on the patio. I also received my order quite quickly.

We left very underwhelmed. For the price we paid even with a coupon we were not impressed. We agreed that was the last time we'd eat at Rumbi....we should have gone to Zupas instead.Food: 1/5
I'm really becoming a big fan of this place. It is fast food, but it is good. The vibe is pretty chill, with a good mix of island style music playing constantly. The real standout here is the daily special menu. You get a complete meal including drink for less than $10. The options mostly consist of rice and chicken/fish/pork, and you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend!
Ended up eating here three times in a week-long vacation. Delicious each time. The service was good, and they would make it right if they made a mistake. Could not get enough of the Rumbi Berry Salad and had it two of my three meals there.
