The Royal Saskatchewan Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in the province’s natural and cultural history.nnIt offers engaging exhibits on Saskatchewan’s diverse ecosystems, Indigenous heritage, and fascinating dinosaur fossils. Including Scotty the Largest T-Rex in the world!!!nnThe displays are informative and family-friendly, with highlights of life-sized dinosaur model, other wildlife of the province and interactive galleries. It’s fun and educational, with something for all ages, making it perfect for a family outing or a casual visit.nnThe entrance fee is by donation. There's plenty of free 3 hour parking spaces. Accessible by bus as well if you have no vehicle. The museum grounds also have some nice grassy areas to picnic with picnic tables.
Impressive and well organized museum with a good variety of interesting exhibits. I had no idea that the world's largest T Rex was here in Saskatchewan, very cool. The museum has a good blend of newer and older exhibit sections and they seem to be always improving. Good for adults and children alike.
Really nice experience visiting the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. I spent almost an hour visiting the Basement section of the building. It was amazing. Lots of real fossils of dinosaurs that once roamed the prairies in Saskatchewan can be found there. Paying tickets was optional, and was used for donation purposes. I happily purchased a ticket for myself. I think they have put lots of effort and resources to build this museum. This is an asset for the province. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Regina. I returned another day during the weekend to see the upper floor, but the museum was closed. I will return again during week days.
A fantastic place!nSeeing the world’s largest T-Rex fossil was truly impressive.nThe entire museum is well-organized.nThe viewing sequence is very clear, making it one of the most well-structured museums I’ve visited.nIt’s a great place to bring kids.
This place is awesome! Very kid friendly and engaging. Giant t-Rex and fossils, and you can even color a dinosaur model on the computer! Many beautifully done dioramas with sound, very convincing and with great information. Covers many of the ecosystems and seasons of Canada. An entire section also for the First Nation peoples, history, tools, and treaties. Evocative drumming, chanting, and spoken descriptions. Ecological section too, with a stunning earth in space display. Entire experience is donations supported, membership available. Nice gift shop too! Well worth multiple visits. Staff was friendly, parking free. Highly recommended!
