I ordered 2 items for take out and the price was a little high. The portion for the street style pad Thai did not fill a takeout container, and the noodles were stuck together. They didn't provide any utensils or napkins in the take out bag.Food: 2/5
They seem to have closed up. I phoned there last Saturday April 8th, and the number was not in service. So we ordered from another restaurant Canadian Thai at Steeles and 404 - very good!. On the way back, stopped at Royal Orchard Thai - the signs that used to be posted on the door with the hours had been taken down. I peeked inside, and the tables were still there, but the chairs were all gone.
Ordered 3 orders of Pad Thai. The noodles were good but the chicken and shrimp had absolutely NO flavour. Obviously cooked separately without any seasonings.
Always looked forward to going to this restaurant. Very disappointed on last visit and will not go back. Pri ces have gone up considerably which I assume is due to covid recovery. Food was definitely not as good as it used to be. I think it may be new owners. Chicken and beef satays were tough to chew, peanut sauce was not as good as it used to be. Cashew chicken Thai had very little chicken in it. Service was slow considering only 3 table in the restaurant at the time. Will now go to Thai Basil at Bayview and 16 - much better flavor and price!
Don't let website pictures fool you, I orderderd 1 veggie pa-thai one shrimp pa-thai hardly shrimps not like in the picture! and few mushy vegetables. noodles all stick together as one block! bad bad bad!
I'd describe this place as decent. The food is almost identical to Thai Express from a food court, maybe a little better because of higher quality ingredients. The appetizers weren't good but the entree wasn't bad. The desert is not good, I wouldn't recommend it.
Violent food poisoning from the shrimp cold roll at this place 2 nights ago. 2 of us had barely finished our meal when we felt dizzy and ill. 15 min later we started projectile vomiting. One friend had not eaten the cold roll, she was fine. She called the restaurant right away to warn them not to serve to anyone else. No concern- no apology. I called public health and they were very concerned. They went in and took samples. The whole meal was substandard compared to what we had enjoyed there in the past. Stir fried veggies used to be a nice assortment-this night 80 % huge chunks of zuccinni and a bit of onion and mushrooms. Spicy noodles were a big tasteless blob of noodles in orange oily slime. Tom yum chicken was chicken in unidentifiable flavourless brown powder. Our friend who had not eaten the bad cold roll went in to speak to the owner twice over the next 2 days. Staff refused to give owner's name and number, refused a refund, offered no concern or apology, only excuses and deflection . I hate to trash a small business in these tough times but the food has really declined and honestly don't risk going there
Old school charm. A bit expensive but the portions are Huge. Great service.Food: 5/5
This restaurant is terrible. The service was really bad: the server was nowhere to find, they made us wait for half an hour only for the food that's partially cooked. We didn't tip for the terrible service and poor quality food we received, the server then went up to us and told us that we didn't tip. If I could, I would give 0 star.
Not the greatest food. Ordered on a whim, regretted it after the first bite. The pad Thai was not good at all and the pineapple fried rice was okay. The green curry was nice.
