Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Officer Leblanc for going above and beyond when locating my Airpod Pros which were a gift to my father on Father’s Day. Last weekend they had either been stolen or found by someone and I ended up filing a police report when it happened and it had showed it was 2 hours away from Calgary. Calgary Police had called me the next day and said there was essentially nothing I could do and I thought that was it.. But I didn’t lose hope as a week went by, and they ended up on find my iPhone again in Airdrie and I ended up tracking them myself. That being said, the location isn’t always precise and I contacted the non-emergency line and they had me in direct contact with Officer Leblanc which I told her I didn’t want any confrontation with anyone and just gave her the serial number and the location I thought it may be. She seriously went above and beyond just to locate my fathers AirPods and to be honest it was a very good feeling not the fact they were necessarily found, but the fact that someone would go great lengths to just HELP. I am on my way to pick them up today and I seriously can’t thank her services enough !! Again thank you so much, and there needs to be more police officers like you!!! My sincere apologies if I slept your name wrong
Today I witnessed a motorbike drive on narrow shoulder on bridge exiting highway onto veterans . He was not a foot away from my vehicle and tried to pass me on exit. Constant flow of traffic as per usual at this time of day 5:00-5:15. I moved to far left lane on bridge then I see him drive in the narrow shoulder to move ahead. He then was stuck at turning lane to Edmonton Trail. Next thing I know he was now behind me by a couple of vehicles and turning onto main street. He kept up his dangerous driving by popping wheelys and doing snake between drivers. Licence plate was PUP2 something. Since I got home all I have heard is vehicles racing down 8th street with there loud bang mechanisms… I would love to see more RCMP pay attention to these streets especially after 7:00 pm. One could sit anywhere on 8th street north of Yankee and pull over ‘these vehicles or bikers driving excessive’.
Was taken into a holding cell for the night when I did nothing wrong. I was told I did nothing wrong. They wouldn’t listen to my story. And victim blamed me. They were purely just trying tormenting me for fun. The cell had no bed so I had to sleep on the concrete floor freezing. No blanket, no food, no water. They wouldn’t give me a phone call. Which is my right to have one. They threw me on the floor with the handcuffs still on and I bruised my leg. Then they left. In the morning they let me out and just threw me on the street next to the station and I had to ask again for the 40th time for a phone call. So someone could pick me up across the city.
Call local non emergency line at 11pm for complaint party noise no one pick the phone, end up call 911 have dispatched transfer to someone. However no police come resolve the noise, those teenager party until 2am still no police come. Those police only focus ticketing in traffic instead. Not really protecting us
I've had a few dealing with the airdrie RCMP over the years. They definitely deserve the 5 star review. The handcuffs fit snug and are fashionable. As well they put them on very delicately. The squad car was newer and very roomy in the back. The pepper spray was definitely warm to the eyes and definitely not expired. Im super happy that they would care about me enough not to use expired pepper spray. 5/5 would definitely get arrested by them again This is OBVIOUSLY a joke, I've never been arrested by the airdrie RCMP, but any dealings with them have been positive in nature
I had my phone and wallet stolen by an individual I had met online. I was left stranded in a parking lot at 3:30AM. The responding officer said something along the lines of “I hope this teaches you a lesson about meeting people online.” He told me he was going on vacation for a week and would look into getting my stuff back when he returned. Why would they not transfer the case to someone else? Law enforcement is a joke. My brother ended up getting my stuff back for me minus my credit cards, $600 and my SIM card
I am seeing some negative reviews on here, and almost skipped this detachment to get my finger prints done however glad I went as my experience was much better than other people on here. When I arrived there was 5-6 people in line, not bad. I waited 20 minutes to be called, once helped the lady I just know she was from Scotland, was great. Extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. After she helped me, I sat down and 5mins later I was called for my fingerprints, again very friendly older gentleman. Overall glad I went here, although this isn't your typical business please don't let other's poor experience stop you from visiting this detachment.
My lil bro got into a car accident on Monday. It was a chain collision with 3 other vehicles involved, he was at the very front and was rammed practically off to the side and into the ditch! The DRIVERS' SIDE DOOR WAS COMPLETELY SQUISHED IN and THE WINDOW COMPLETELY SHATTERED, but he somehow managed to escape without a scratch on him! Many thanks to the amazing RCMP officer who attended the scene and drove him home since no one was available to pick him up. It was cold, snowing, windy, foggy and rush hour. All of natures worst elements happening at once and you were there to help him, you're a God send and we're sooo grateful.
Worst police detachment in Canada. As a struggling delivery driver I have been pulled over by these guys late at night so many times. They keep costing me time and money while they look for reasons to give me tickets. Tonight two customers canceled their order while they threatened to tow our courier van. Had my partner not come to show them proof they would have impounded one of our legal vehicles tonight. Instead they gave me $155 ticket for my high beams being on. I live on an acreage just came back in town to pick up the few last orders and after working a 16hr day just to make ends meet I forgot to turn off the high beams and lose all the money I struggled to make today. Now I will waste more time and money trying to fight this ... guess there’s no crime in Airdrie that they could be looking into instead of picking on struggling business men. No respect for this detachment and the next time I see half a dozen in Tim’s I will be sure to thank the losers
Cop ran a red light at the 22 and 1a intersection going well above the speed limit WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS FLASHING, causing me to slam on my breaks as well as him and ONLY THEN DID HE TURN HIS FLASHING LIGHTS ON until he thought I couldn't see him anymore and then just turned them off again.Whatever cop was on duty at 445am sat April 30th 2022.... you shouldn't have a badge you're clearly not following the laws you love to hand out tickets for.
