Me and my fiancé had a decent experience here that could've been better. First off I'll talk about the positives: The hibachi I got was delicious and didn't take very long. Most of the buffet items that were put out were tasty and there was only a few things that we didn't enjoy. The sushi was made relatively fresh and was also fine. The real problem here is cleanliness, especially since they're one of the only Chinese Buffets nearby. As you can see in my photos, there was dust and grime on every single heat lamp above the buffet line. This is unacceptable and there is without question dust that falls onto the buffet line items constantly. The hood above the hibachi grill also was disgusting and dripping with grease. The dining areas were well kept and cleaned for the most part, however the ceiling tiles in the one dining room are rotting and should have been replaced a long time ago. Overall the food we had here was passable, but the cleanliness definitely needs to improve. Only after these issues are fixed can I truly recommend someone here.
I honestly wasn't expecting the sushi bar to be so good!!! I wish there was a place like this near me! The staff was friendly and quick and the food was AMAZING! I will definitely come back when I'm in the area again! Kid-friendliness: They have kid food options pizza, mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, fries, etc Parking: A lot more parking in the back of the restaurant!
Not very impressed with our recent experience here. They have really limited their options of food as well as the quality of it too. We paid over $18 per person not including drinks as well and could barely stomach a plate full before deciding it wasn’t worth it and leaving. If you’re Looking for a nice restaurant to take your family go anywhere else in Scranton but here. It’s just not worth the money
My family and I did not have a pleasant experience. This was the first time that we were at this restaurant. It will be the last for the following reasons: waitress did not provide drink refills, attempts to get waitress were ignored by staff, hair in the food, waitress brought over bill while still eating, waitress came over to table and asked for bill payment while we were still eating, took baby to the bathroom and waitress took away his high chair, miso soup was grey/black from something unknown, hibachi chef expected a tip, hibachi fresh cooked food tasted burnt, and while leaving the waitress demanded a tip when we left none due to poor service. I attempted to explain to her the reasons for no tip due to poor service but she walked away.
Food was pretty good for a buffet. Most items are labeled but a lot of them are not. Several labels are completely wrong. One full section of the buffet was closed. I have no idea what it was supposed to be and we went on a Saturday night for dinner. The ice cream section was closed and replaced with individual cups of ice cream no toppings, etc. Sushi selection was lacking compared to other similar buffets we've been to.
It was a very good buffet when it opened years ago but over time the food quality has gone down ALOT!!! They have gotten cheap on what they put out on the buffet. Almost no beef products. The other side of the buffet is not even in use anymore. What is there is not good tasting Chinese food. I know everyone is trying to save money due to inflation but these changes were started before covid broke out. They raised there prices anyway so there should be no excuses on there part. My suggestion is to drive a little further to go-to a better Chinese buffet.
Never going back to this place again!!!! . This use to be one of my favorite restaurants. But recently I was there, and the waitress was being over friendly at first. Then at the end of the meal. She gave us the check, and stood until we paid. Then looked at the bill right infront of us and demanded more of a tip. I’ve seen alot of comments like this, something should be done.
Some of the food were great, while others suboptimal. I would recommend all stir fried veggies and meat, and avoid all deep fried foods. The rice pudding dessert was really nice tooFood: 4/5
The food is is good but we are starting to not like the experience overall. This is the 3rd time I have had this happen in a row. The server came back with my payment receipt and stood there waiting for me to fill it out. We paid card and other members in our party were going to cover the tip via cash So there was no tip via card. She immediately opened the black booklet and checked for a tip in-front of us. We continued to talk at the table after eating and the server stared at us pacing back and forth past our table while neglecting the rest of the dining room. She then brought back an empty black booklet and opened it up for us to put our tip in. I understand that because they don’t actually serve you and only clear your plateswhich she barely did our table was full of plates many people do not tip at a buffet but that is not something I personally have done or intended to do today as a person who has been a full service server in restaurants before. It made us very uncomfortable and was very invasive during our experience and just continues to happen the past few times we have come. I have never experienced this anywhere else.
My husband and I thought that this place would have great good, and disappointingly enough, it was all cold, barely a selection for sushi, and there was nobody available at the hibachi grill. I paid 35 dollars for food I couldn't eat. I'm thoroughly disappointed, and when I mentioned the mediocrity of the food to the woman at the front counter she insisted everything was fresh and that the food was hot and I told her that was incorrect and the food was definitely not fresh, and it wasnt even Luke warm. It was unacceptable. Not to mention there was literally empty clam shells with not one clam in them. They charged me full price for all you can eat when all we ate was half a plate. Again, I thoroughly recommend going anywhere else instead of here. You can get better sushi at a giant.
