Wanted East Indian food for dinner. Debated between the two local ones. Decided to go to Royal Aroma. We enjoyed the experience. The place felt cozy and properly decorated, the staff was nice, the food was good and serving sizes were reasonable. Most of all, as of Oct 2023, the prices are better than the competition. So if you want to have East Indian cuisine for a meal, I recommend you give this place a try! Parking: It's across the restaurant/street but it's spacious. Not gonna be a problem at all.
There was no customers when we arrive here. Still we waited to give our orders. I believe the waitress who serviced us was new there, and had not much idea about the menu and how to behave. All the foods we ordered are delicious! I'd love to visit here again for the foods!
Finding an Indian food was kind of hard in Campbell river until I get to know about The Royal Aroma Indian cuisine…… the food is so delicious and cooked exactly with typical Indian spices. Also the genuine price The great thing is they make the dish as mentioned gluten or dairy free and as spicy as one want ....Its now our go to place, kind of every/twice a week
The food was so delicious! The malaia kofta was my favorite dish! I had a dish with okra and it was the best tasting okra I've ever had. The food was amazing and the restaurant was beautiful. Would definitely recommend <3
They sent random buffet leftovers instead of what I ordered. I was half paying attention and now I'm having an allergic reaction. Byriani is not just a pile of steamed rice with bits of old dehydrated jafrezi and aloo ghobi underneath. It's fried spiced rice with veggies. Vindaloo is a spicy tomato and vinegar based sauce. Not a dairy based curry, like the korma they sent me. Ugh. I used door dash and water so much money even after the refund. Paid like $50 for diarrhea and an epi pen so $450 total.
We love Royal Aroma. The food is always hot and absolutely delicious! If you enjoy spice, do ask for "hot" as mild/medium are both quite mild with little spicey heat to them. Variety of dishes is outstanding! 10/10 Our favourite East Indian food in Campbell River. Vegetarian options: Loads of delicious vegetarian options!
Have been here several times and it is good every time. So much flavour! Went to the other place once and it wasn't as good. Royal Aroma is the standard to beat. Have always done take out but the restaurant is nice and the staff is friendly.Food: 5/5
Absolutely the best Indian I have had since leaving the lower mainland 20 years ago! Even my partner who said he didn't like Indian food has been converted!!Food: 5/5
Honestly the best Indian Cuisine on North Vancouver Island. If you love curry, you will love this place. This is a must try! Edit: This is the best Indian food I have ever had.
Best curries in town by far. Never been disappointed, the lunch smorg is a great price and has lots of tasty options.Food: 5/5
