We were very happy with the Routes service. Ali was very friendly and helpful both on our way in and our way out. Overall, our car was clean, minus some wear and tear, and it ran very well. Plus, it was great on gas! There is also a shuttle that picks you up from the airport and takes you back. Just a note... give yourself time to process the paperwork both ways, especially if you are from out of the country. Also note there are additional nominal fees to go to other provinces. We highly recommend this car rental company and would definitely use them again should we return to Ottawa.
Approached the negative reviews with caution, the fine print revealed the truth: most dissatisfied customers were breaking the rules. No pets in the car? Check. Don't take the vehicle into Quebec? Check. Those from Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba, you're on a mileage leash. Just like driving with a license, stick to the guidelines, and you’ll have a smooth, enjoyable experience. Kudos to Manny and his team for keeping things on track!
We had to rent a car at the last minute twice in the past week due to an issue with our vehicle. Routes have been great! They managed to get us into a nice vehicle twice for cheaper than what we found elsewhere. I highly recommend!
Manny the manager is great. Awesome experience both times I've rented with Routes and happily recommend them to anyone renting esp if out of province like myself, got unlimited km because visiting from BC. Best value, new cars, great customer service. A+++
A great experience with the Routes team. I was able to connect with the office to request a shuttle right at 8AM as they had just opened for the day. The shuttle was estimated at about a 15 minute wait, I was given clear instructions on where to wait and the shuttle arrived exactly on time, marked with the company logo and a friendly and professional driver. The process was as seamless as any other rental experience I have had and Maney was very kind and helpful in ensuring that my rental met my needs. He also documented any minor issues with the vehicle to ensure I will not be required to pay for damage ensued before my renting. I was sent email copies of all documents, which is excellent for record keeping and review. Overall, I would highly recommend this service.
