Amazing views and great food!! You can’t beat the view from the patio. Enjoyed a relaxing outdoor luncheon. The food and service was excellent. The entrees were delicious and so well prepared. We had the seared salmon, house burger, lamb gyros, and herb crusted Lake Superior white fish. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Do check this place out if you are visiting Mackinac island.
Wow I was hesitant coming here as the reviews are low but we had the best food and service. We came here for breakfast lunch and dinner over the course of our vacation. Everything was great and you can't beat the view! The beef medallions were amazing and the whipped potatoes were the best.
The service was great. I ordered the Michigan Cherry Chicken salad and I ate all of it - it was so tasty. There was live music and the singer was very talented. The atmosphere was friendly, cozy and comfortable. The restaurant was kid friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re on Mackinac Island.
Beautiful location a little bit away from the busyness but close enough to walk there. Dogs welcome. We got right in right away with a table outside on the balcony. Our waiter Docag was super friendly and the food was really good!
Server and other wait staff were fantastic. Musicians were great as well. Food was ok in some aspects and not ok in others. Mac and cheese portion size was small although the cheese was fantastic. The beef however was simply not enough. It looked like a single slice of roast beef from the deli.
Sticky table and flies buzzing around. Took twenty minutes to finally get our beer. Server was nice and food was pretty good overall but I expected a lot more from this place as we were guests of the hotel.
Had a subpar experience eating here on a Friday night. Made a reservation online so had no wait and was seated with a great view of the lake. Brussel sprouts were ok but soggy instead of crispy and only included a total of 3 cut in half. Pork sandwich was also good but simple and could have used more flavor. Salmon dish was good but once again included only 3 count em 3 gnocchi noodles. My biggest gripe is with portion sizes, not at all aligned with the relatively high cost.
Comfort food. Prices are in line with the overall slightly overpriced scenario on the island. Whitefish is a pricey menu item $31, but pretty good. Best value were, in our opinion, the salads. Breakfast priced very optimistically at $19 throughout and supported by a few pre-packaged items such as a croissant, cinnamon roll and a chocolate muffin.
Wonderful service, but poor quality food. Started with breakfast for 9. Really happy with Nick's service, but the kitchen screwed up 3 if the 9 orders. We were all hungry, so we traded until everyone had an omelet they liked. Breakfast choices are very limited to just a handful of options. In all breakfast was ok maybe 3 out of 5. Lunch was awful, but our server, Aaron was a delight. We ordered tomato basil soup and grilled ham and cheese. Now the sandwich is not in the menu, but after checking with the kitchen, we were told they could do Canadian bacon on grilled cheese. We were delighted. Unfortunately cold soup arrived with no sandwich, then 20 minutes later a microwaved, cheese velveeta sandwich with regular bacon arrived. We hated to complain because Aaron went out of his way to make sure the kitchen would fulfill our request. Come on it's a grilled cheese, a 10yr old can make one. To make things worse, we both got ill immediately following eating here. On a positive note, they had a wonderful selection of Rye bourbon/whiskey. So, our recommendations are to come for drinks and the view, but don't eat.
Second year in a row we spent our Anniversary Dinner. It keeps getting better every year! Our server Devon was amazing. Great personality!
