We loved this place e the first time so much we couldn't stay away! My husband and I took my parents out to happy hour and dinner here on a Sunday night so they could try out this gem. Boy were they happy we took them. We sat at the bar to get a happy hour drink and then had dinner out on the patio. Everything was great about the experience from the delicious food to the friendly staff. The street corn polenta was a very cool side and I highly recommend it. I also recommend the BBQ chicken tips on the happy hour menu. Everything was reasonable and we had a great time. Worth a visit!
I only go here about twice a year, and it's amazing every time. Inventive American brasserie. The staff is always pleasant. Not a thing on the menu has ever come close to disappointing me. I would go more often if time allowed. Recommend The Chef's Plate, Steak Frites.with any of the salads and sides. Best calamari in the area.
A local Newington restaurant that serves farm to table home cooking food! My husband and I really enjoyed our dinners and service. Our server Samantha was amazing, she was super sweet and attentive! We will definitely be back with our children for more of your mouth watering food!!! So delicious, I would give you more stars if I could!
The Rooster company always hits home for me! A phenomenal bar with great crafted cocktails and wine selection, that is always busy. A home like atmosphere with amazing farm to table food! The chicken ANYTHING is good, but chicken and waffles, the lasagna, the grilled bread ricotta, honey app- amazing.... a MUST!Food: 5/5
My spouse and I came in around 3pm on 11/10 and sat at the bar. The portions were very pleasing, the service was phenomenal, the drinks were delish, and the atmosphere was lovely. Looking forward to coming back here later in the day to check out the dinner scene. Pictured is their Whipped Ricotta with fresh figs and toasted hazelnuts. After I already tore up the bread before I thought of taking a photo of the stunning plating.
Last two times I have been here for Happy Hour, great man and woman bartenders. man till 4, lady after 4. Happy Hour menu weak though. White wine and beer choices very limited. Unless you are an IPA Beer drinker. Would love to see Stella/Blue Nun and a better Chardonnay. Atmosphere good, prices reasonable. We went with the non happy hour cheese plate and Storypoint Chardonnay which turned out to be good choices. One time I had a burger which was great.
I've been here for brunch and dinner and both experiences were really good. The food is delicious. Service has been good. One time for dinner was a bit slow but that was when dining had just opened back up so that's understandable. This place is definitely becoming a regular place I will go.
Roostah hits on so many levels I had to drop this review on you guys. The exterior is hip and inviting and the vibe inside has a modern feel. In the winter it can be a lil chilly by the door but other than that theres a spacious bar and ample seating. We ordered a few apps and the chicken dinner lunch special which is a fricken steal. Pardon me french, with all these sauce options up to 3 free and the side choices its a no brainer. We started off w/ apps and sides ....The pork belly is a lil tougher since its fried but that gives it that extra bacony bacon flavor ya know. The brussel sprouts are very good tho could be crispier. The butternut squash polenta is creamy and light w/o being overly salty and the crispy broccoli is spot on too. The roast chicken is a locally sourced bird that comes out plump n juicy w/a seasoned skin. This is a large half chicken and you get a roll plus 2 sides. There's no going wrong here. Highly recommended stopping thru and checking this place out. All the food coming out looked great and management was vary attentive. Will def be returning soon!
My wife & I enjoyed our drinks, dinner & desert. I had the Grilled Salmon plus a side of beets, delicious! My wife had Spaghetti squash. We each had drinks and for dessert we had Apple Cobbler. The food was on point!! Nice restaurant but tough parking. It was a delightful time for a second time there.Food: 5/5
It is an excellent place all around. The server was especially attentive to my daughter and grandson. Food is worth the hour drive. The broccoli side was an absolutely banger.
