Nice restaurant with good food and service. Prawns with chorizo was very nice. Same thing with salmon tartare. Steak with red wine sauce was also highly recommended. I would give 5 stars if my pork was better seasoned.
Everything is good in this restaurant. I took the sausage with aligo, it was very tasty I really enjoyed it. I took as the dessert a pie called '' tarte façon tatin'' and it was great best apple pie ever. The service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this place, good traditional French dishes served.
Let's start with the good part: the food was good, price/quality is also good. Tartare de bar à la pomme Granny and Tartare de bœuf. Both dishes came in relatively large portions and tasted very well. For the meat lovers: chunks were maybe on the large side but I like them that way. The bad part: the service or lack of it. They forgot a starter while 3 persons already had theirs served. Dropped a bottle of drinks while serving and just acted if nothing happened. The whole evening I got the impression the staff were more busy with socializing with their locals 'friends'. Would I come back? Yes but just for a quick bite.
Very nice and cozy restaurant in Fontainebleau! Had dinner there with a couple of friends and we were able to try several options from the menu - I would highly recommend all of them! For appetizers we had the foie gras and the Brie cheese rolled in a dough. For main courses we tried the beef carpaccio, the entrecote and the tuna steak. Portions were huge and service was very good. The restaurant has an extensive wine list and the overall price was 40eur/person.
The restaurant is located in the most central streets of Fontainebleau, where you have lists of restaurants and amenities. The menu is simple and they serve mainly French cuisine. Food is good and well presented. Portions are okay. They have a good variety of wines. Service is efficient and helpful. They do speak English, so it helps a lot. Recommended
This was an excellent place for lunch after a busy morning of exploring Fontainebleau. The lunch special was really good for a decent price and the staff were very friendly.
Plenty of traditional french meat dishes. As a vegetarian I had the option of one main dish called assiette vegetarienne. They basically put all their side dishes with a cheese on the plate. The mousse au chocolat is huge and yummy.
Friendly service, typical French food - a safe choice for anyone around. The atmosphere is generally informal, given also the area.
First visit in Fontainebleau and first stop for a dinner at the Franklin. Brasserie decorum , very nice and professional service. Terrace pretty cosy . I have ordered a very good sea bass with a Sarah sauce . Avery good . Desert was a vacherin vanilla and strawberry . Very good too. I am giving 4 stars even if the chairs should have been cleaned a bit better than what it was. Otherwise all great.
The fish was not their best representation, but others who ordered duck had a great time. Mousse au chocolat was great! The portion was big enough for two.
