Long beach with clean water and fine sands; camping facilities are clean and good maintained; even though the privacy of camp site not that good, I still like this park. Especially the long trail from camp area to Tulip Tree Trail, you can enjoy a such peaceful scenic route whatever you are biking, hiking or rollerblading. If you like more, you can keep going from Tulip Tree to South Point TrailFriendly reminder, lots of hungry mosquitoes are waiting for you in this trail, make sure you are ready for yourself and family members ๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵و.
Spent 5 days here in July. We loved that you can walk to beach from campsites or you can drive and park at entrances along the beach. Beach was very clean and has a long shoreline so you can easily find a spot away from people. We drove to the dog beach it is a little bit of a drive but we stopped at visitor Center along the way. Lots of rocks but it was empty and water was clean. Visitor Center was a Great spot to take the kids to see a few turtles and learn about native wildlife. Park store sells ice cream which is also walking distance from some sites. Kids loved walking to get ice cream as a treat. Definitely recommend this park for camping with young children. Only downfall is that the playground was far from campsites and needs to be updated
Well maintained park with camping and cottages. Lots of trails, great for biking, and many beach access points. The wildlife museum is a must see, and there are shops inside and just outside park for items you forgot to pack, ice, household items and hand scooped ice cream. There's a fee for entrance into the park. Our family has owned at cottage here since the 1940s, when Rondeau offered horse stables, a dance hall, mini golfing as well as other activities there is still a sailing club. But now it's more of a nature park that really doesn't change much from year to year. Always do a tick check when coming back from outdoor activities!
Only explored a part of the park since it is pretty large. But there are a few things we liked - a long slow drive takes you down south to a number of beaches, lots of trails along beaches, inside the forest, and connecting the forest to the southern-most regions. We particularly liked the tulip trail which has extended boardwalks inside the forest, and feels like a fantasy movie. Lastly, contrary to Point Pelee park which gets narrower as you get to south, this park gets broader, which is remarkable. Restrooms: Restrooms are located at many places but only the ones at visitor centre are open during winter.
Nice park with a lot of beach options, v-balls nets, boat launch, dog beach etc. There are also beach options on both sides of the peninsula with perfect sunrise or sunset moments on either side. Many campsites were nice too. Only complaint was not enough comfort stations or bathrooms and the park wasn't even full
Beautiful quiet beach not so busy but very windy. Best place for camping if you don’t like too many people around. Recommend for the wildlifeBirds, turtle, etc. experience.
Another excellent Ontario park. Very good for amateur or kids cycling. Firewood is 9 dollar from park office so buy it from the guy selling it on the road 2 km ahead of the park gate for 5 bucks a bag! You cant miss it. Icecream is cheaper and better in the general store just before you enter the parks main get. Enjoy.
A beautiful park with Rondeau Bay on 1 side and Lake Erie on the other. The beach is wonderful...shallow enough for kids..and refreshingly warm. The site we had is fairly private. You can still see and chat with neighbours on 2 sides. The many chipmunks are very friendly! The only inconvenience is the amount of mosquitoes so bring your bug spray! Make sure to visit the Welcome Centre for some interesting history and facts about the area and it's wildlife. And don't forget the ice cream at the park store!
Beautiful, peaceful park to camp on Lake Erie. Our site was a short walk to the beach and to the washrooms. Enjoyed a relaxing evening during our first visit to the area.
Good place for stay couple of days. Lots of activity hiking, biking, boating and fishing. There’s many trails, plenty beach access. We like visitors center. You can see sunset&sunrise. Stuffs are very nice. Washroom may need some improvement & be careful mosquitoes after dark.
