I built a loft bed for my new tiny apartment, I have very little/ no building experience, 1st time using a miter saw and using a drill for holes. The staff were great. The lumber staff showed me how to pick wood and they cut some of it for me. The hardware staff helped me pick bolts, drill bits and things. Cashier staff were nice. I had a great experience with everyone I dealt with. Thank you for all the help. I have made my bed, now I will lie in it.
Never noticed the parking time limit I guess it's new, but 1 hour is sometimes not enough for people like me that like to look at every other item in the store. Good choice for quick and convenient buys, but for those longer price-comparing, project-planning and new-products-discovering trips, the big orange non-Canadian store shall be my only choice from now on. PS several cars including mine got a parking ticket on that fateful early morning.
Worst Customer Service in BC!nThe cashier with mustache at return counter is so rude and unhelpful! He would reject your retuning even without looking at you. Will never come back to this store anymore.
What a great hardware shopping experience. There's actually enough staff that you don't need to walk around for 20 minutes to find someone to help you., They are knowledgeable about what is in stock and where it is, they are pleasant and happy to help you.. The quality of items is significantly better than Canadian Tire or Home Depot. I will avoid these last two from now on and shop only at Rona for my hardware and tools.
I made the mistake of purchasing an expensive LG gas range from Rona. After only using it three times it had flames coming from the inside and could have burned down my new condo. If that was not enough the inspector for LG came to my home and turned on the gas range and filled my home with serious toxic fumes. I own a parrot who ended up at an Avian hospital on oxygen. Her little lungs are now compromised and as the X-rays in the pictures below show are black. I have hundreds of dollars on vet bills for the rest of her life, which has now been shortened. LG has not helped in anyway.nI have received no help from Rona they left me to hang and dry and deal with LG.nMy two lessons learned I would not purchase a kitchen appliance from Rona and certainly NOT am LG gas range
