I purchased $700 worth of lumber delivered to my house. Several pieces were poor quality and had deep gouges in the wood, which I had to get exchanged. Unfortunately, I missed one 10-foot 4x6 that was twisted; no amount of sanding would get it to sit flat. I had to cut it to load in my car and drive for 30 minutes to Rona Langford.nnASM Peter was unsympathetic and refused to help exchange one $35 piece of wood after I had spent $700, suggesting they couldn’t resell since I had cut. I explained that you cannot ethically resell it anyway since it’s twisted. ASM Peter did offer to help load the piece back into my car, which I declined.nnLesson learned: If I want quality lumber, do not buy from Rona!
Wonderful experience!!nnStaff members were so helpful to find few items I bought. Special thanks to Rick and Lori . Both of them spent their valuable time and shared exact information about those products which I asked. Would love to visit again!!
I won't ever go back here and id encourage everyone else to do the same. I reached my hand into the drawer for bolts and had a rusty screw completely pierce through my hand. The store did nothing , passed me to an insurance adjuster that offered me nothing. You aren't safe shopping here
I had a range of levels of service today from Langford Store staff, who I approached for assistance with finding the items I was looking for. Overall though, it was good... especially with one of the fellows at the contractors desk... even though I'm not a contractor.nn2022-12-21 UPDATE: I needed to purchase steel flatbar and angle iron... so I did some comparison shopping. HomeDepot had the best pricing with decent selection. Lowes had the best selection but pricing was just a bit higher than HomeDepot. CanadianTire had the least amount of selection and the highest prices.
I went to home Depot to buy a lightbulb and I couldn't find any help for like 30 minutes.nI got so frustrated I left.nMy father-in-law recommended Lowe's home improvement. The moment I walked in I got help right away. I tried a few more times and I got the same help everytime.nI can't believe I didn't know about this amazing place.nYou have a customer for life.nThank you.
