I’ve been wanting to try Roman Wheel for so long I’m so glad I got to try it today! I got a Turkey sub and it was so tasty it hit the spot! The breadsticks were good too. Great seating area to eat, chill, and plan your next stop in Suttons Bay. Will be back to try the pizza!!
Roman Wheel got recommended by many and it was 10/10. One of the best pizzas and the gal working up front is the kindest! First but not the last time I'm there.
We visited during labor day weekend and everywhere was really busy so we decided on The Roman Wheel. At first I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting this to be a table service place but you simply place your order at the counter. We were told it would be about 20min and I believe it was close to that. The pizza was very good, but very greasy. The heat and grease made it difficult for the little ones to eat without losing all of their toppings. Overall a very good taste, but the green peppers on the pizza were not that good. They tasted like they either came from a can or were pre-cooked before adding to the pizza. This made them very watery and soft. Other than this it was very good and the breadsticks were excellent!
Initially we were here pre-covid and it was delicious. 3 years later and it is still just as good. We ate inside, no frills paper plates and we enjoyed it a lot. The restaurant was clean, the people fantastic, and the pie is still in my top 2.
We ordered pizza tonight and mozzarella breadsticks and it was wonderful! Some of the best pizza we have ever had. We did a take out order and it was ready in 25 minutes, not bad for a Friday night. And prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend checking it out!
Only had their broasted chicken and coleslaw, both very good. Subs and pizza looked good. This will be the best fried chicken on the peninsula when Fischer's closes 1/23.
This is the fallback for my bf and I if neither of us wants to cook. Great pizza and breadsticks. Usually really good about estimating time for pickup. Overall great place.Food: 5/5
The steak fries were burnt on the outside and undone inside, maybe should blanch them for a few minutes before frying. Blanching them before frying will allow the thick cut steak fries to get a head start cooking without burning. The sub was a bit greasy for ClubSub with Turkey and ham.
Food was great… wait was not! I placed a carry out order and showed up 5 minutes before it was going to be ready. Paid and was told it would be 10 minutes. After 20 minutes approached counter for status. “Let me check”… after 10 more minutes I was told it would be another 15 minutes. Waited 50 minutes in restaurant!!! If it was going to take an hour and half from the time I placed my order just let me know….! I would have been happy to show up at that point.
Hands down the best Pizza Place in all of Northern Michigan. Flat out. Straight up. There is literally no better place for pizza in my 28 years of living in Northern Michigan. Big in size, 100% in flavor, delicious, and a must-visit! 100% recommended!
