My husband told me that this bakery has been around ever since he was a kid. I went here for the first time today with him and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious and inexpensive their items are! We got a macaroon brownie, which is a brownie with coconut and a chocolate frosting, and a chocolate covered double layer chocolate cake. We bought these for just $2.50! Of note, we used cash because there is a $5 minimum for credit and debit cards. I can see why they are still around today because this place is actually really good! Everything we ate tasted really fresh and moist. I would like to come here again in the future.
I've lived here for 2 years and just went there the first time today to get buns for dinner. Ended up getting some donuts too and they are out of this world soft and delicious! If you want fresh baked goods this is the place!! Also their staff is sooo nice even when they were super busy.
We ordered a variety of pastries and donuts for our daughter's birthday, and they are so delicious. Also my husband said the ladies were very sweet when he went to pick them up.
Small, old timey bakery, great selection of breads, cookies, donuts, long johns, cakes, coolers of drinks. Employees wearing masks. Store is on corner and there was easy on street parking on both main street and side street.
Probably one of the least desirable bakeries I’ve been in, everything was over-baked and not very tasty! I’ve heard good news from here but wasn’t impressed on second Saturday in October 2022.
Can I give them 6 Stars? Specialty Breads for $3 a loaf! Great donuts. Try an Eclair for $1.50, you would expect them to be $4 or more.
Fantastic local bakery, must try the Sourkraut Rye Bread. Are you old enough to remember Pumpernickle?
Fresh made baked goods at very reasonable prices. The ancient grain bread is to die for. I may have to nab a couple more loaves before heading back home!
We grabbed some cookies and pastries while in town for a baseball tournament. Very good pastries and cookies. Low prices as well. Great combo.
