Came highly recommended.. Wow! Certainly lived up to the hype! The Fish & Chips was easily one of the best I ever had! A new favourite restaurant in my books. Highly, highly recommended!!!
Excellent fried food, I ordered fish and chips and my husband chicken dinner, huge portions even for a healthy hungry appetite. Waitresses friendly.
Had the 2 peice fish and chips poutine today and honestly was the best fish n chips ive ever had and would recommend 100%. The lady who took my order was also an absolute sweet heart.
"Highly recommended".. not sure why though. Ordered the 3 piece fish and chips, but my favourite part of the meal was the coleslaw. Fish was mediocre at best.. not nice fillets at all. And greasy!! Woah.. batter = grease sponge. Fries were pale.. but the tartar sauce was ok. So the stuff that was cooked wasn't good. The stuff that didn't have to be cooked was ok. Otherwise would have gotten one star. Go elsewhere in Clarenville.
I ordered a large poutine which was OK, it wasn’t that great. The portion was large though, it was great. I wish they had put less gravy on it, it was so much taking over the fries and cheese flavour too.
food is amazing… but i’ve had the poutine a couple times now & sometimes they put dressing on it and sometimes they don’t. not sure why. also i ordered a medium but they brought me out and charged me for a large.
When I'm Clarenville and looking for a place to eat you should check out Rod's place. Ambiance is basically but the service is great, food equally so and good portions. The seafood chowder soup was a flavorful balance of seafood to chowder. The wrap and chili chips were my favorite. We'll be back next time in Clarenville and highly recommend taking time to give them a try.
Some of the best food on the island. The best burgers around, there what A&W always wanted to be. The fries remind me of hockey rink fries, I could eat them till I explode.Food: 5/5
OMG!!! The massive plate of food that came out the door was crazy! The fish was great, and super crunchy batter if that's your thing. So many fires too! I would recommend, and eat here again !
Awesome food! And big portions...I can usually eat 2 plates of food, could not finish one here!
