The variety here is nice and the chocolates are good, although not really "gourmet" like you'd expect from the price. Based on the stuff I've tried, I think the chocolate itself is of average quality, but the fillings and flavour choices are what make the bonbons so good. The staff here is always nice.
I happened upon the Rocky Mountain Chocolate shop at the Toronto Airport while looking for a house gift for our hosts. The presentations are fantastic. The triangles looked like the perfect house gift. So I bought ten pieces. The chocolate was amazing. My husband is a picky chocaholic. While enjoying the triangles with our hosts he stated that this was the best chocolate he has tasted in years. Our son and his family thought it made a perfect dessert. Each piece was savored. The triangles were cut into pieces, so everyone could enjoy all the different flavors. Good news continues...thy have shops in several Canadian cities - and they deliver. We plan to be continuing customers. I will also add that the young man who served me was perfect. At first, I just walked through to see what was available...as I had not previously considered this as a house gift. No pressure was applied. The salesman was just very polite and answered my questions. When I returned he was courteous, helpful, and pleasant, making sure the chocolate was packaged in a very elegant presentation. I bought an amount for which there was no set gift box. One was found...and looked wonderful. Buying it was a wonderful experience. Anticipating the reaction of our hosts was exciting. And the camaraderie around the table when serving and eating it was just perfect. We hope more travelers discover this wonderful shop. Thank you! PS...sorry...no 'before' photos, as they were eaten pretty quickly..
The products at Rocky Mountain Chocolate never disappoint. I'm partial to their caramel apples but also have to give a shout out to all the seasonal products they offer. Whether Valentine, Christmas, Easter or Halloween, I always find something new and fun at Rocky Mountain Chocolate. It's not too often you come across hand made sweets and it's always a treat to see their chef preparing all the goodies onsite for customers to see. Well done Rocky Mountain Chocolate! Oh and a special mention to the staff at the airport location, they're all very knowledgable and helpful in picking the best products when I shop.
Delicious caramel and chocolate apples although it was slightly pricey. The basic apples cost around CAD$8 and their premium selection goes up to CAD$12 per Apple. Good to try as a novelty item but wouldn’t buy it again. Staff at the outlet was friendly though! Recommend their caramel chocolate apples!
Totally rebranded visual presentation surprised me ! with a chic, streamlined look. Staff are kind.
Small shop in Pearson Terminal 1. Basically the same as the other Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores in terms of looks and presentation, with more focus on things to be consumed immediately or boxed items that are good for gifts. It wasn't busy, so it was easy to take my time while I was there. There was only one person working when I went there, and she was super friendly and approachable. My bf and I shared a peanut butter cup too sweet! and a cookies and cream bomb chocolate that was fab, but still really sweet.
Delicious caramel apples, but they are a bit pricy. Good thing we don't travel every day. The staff was friendly and courteous. They make homemade fudge right in front of you.
Well I just was in this place and it’s great if you want to pay their rent with every piece of candy you buy. 4$ for one little stale cheese cake blast is not my idea of a good time. For the price you’re better off taking a limousine to Reid’s in Cambridge and get some great chocolate. A must miss
I didn’t buy anything but the girl that was working there was very polite, offered help and wished me a safe flight. Might go back and get something for my flight.
Great place to get last minute gift before a flight. Very good selection although the prices are a bit high.
