We had the lovely opportunity to dine at Rockwell twice: in June and most recently in January and both visits were spectacular. The first visit we enjoyed offerings from their regular menu. We ordered the bone marrow and beef tartare followed by a perfectly cooked striploin with more! bone marrow and a perfectly housemade fettuccine. Despite not being huge sweets people, we had to order dessert. A light lemony cheesecake was the perfect finish. Our second visit to Rockwell featured their Posh Nosh experience. Exquisitely well thought-out small dishes that allowed us to truly taste and experience the creativity of Chef Jack Beers and his culinary team. The staff and service was absolutely astoundingly amazing. They are so in-tuned with body language, and kept the food and drinks coming! Also, I really appreciate clean utensils for each new dish. If you ever have the chance, do check out Rockwell. Such a great find in a city that already has so much to offer.
The best dining experience I had in a while! Amazing food and fantastic service. We really enjoyed the tuna ceviche, starter bone marrow board, and rainbow trout. Bone marrow came with a lot of things you could try pairing with - I enjoyed pairing with just some greens/milder tasting ingredients and found mustard seeds to be a bit overpowering over bone marrow. Highly recommend the rainbow trout, it was cooked perfectly with incredible flavours on a well balanced plate.
This place was very lowkey, quiet and very nice inside. My partner and I are not from around here and found this place looking up good spots to eat in Stratford. We called to make a same day reservation for our anniversary at 6pm and the host was very pleasant over the phone. He mentioned a private party would be coming in around 7:30pm but we wouldn’t be rushed out and that it was important for them to know we were celebrating an anniversary. The staff was welcoming when we came in and gave us a nice corner booth. The drinks were heavenly and the food was divine! We ordered their delicious pear and blue cheese flatbread that was a 10/10, alongside oysters that came with a delicious cucumber slush for an appetizer. I ordered their shrimp fettuccine made with dill and lemon and my partner ordered the sirloin steak with bone marrow and potatoes. Both meals were perfectly seasoned and cooked well, compliments to the chef. The reason for the 4 stars is although they said they wouldn’t rush us out over the phone, we in fact did feel rushed near the end of our dining experience. We were both disappointed to have not been given a dessert menu considering I love desserts and find it to be the best part of any dining experience. As we were celebrating a special occasion, I felt it was a given to expect dessert after our meals especially as the host made it seem as though they would do something special for us. We were genuinely upset nothing ended up happening and left the restaurant feeling a bit underwhelmed by our experience.
An absolutely incredible experience. The food was cooked to perfection and the staff were fantastic. The chef came out with each course and described what we were about to eat. Highly recommend for amazing food and cocktails
Super cool upscale lounge with a great dinner and drink menu. Every cocktail and every dish was exceptional. From start to finish the Rockwell was a great experience…this our new favourite restaurant!
Had an amazing night out with some amazing people. The culinary experience was next level. I really enjoyed the steak and the bone marrow. Don't skip the deserts either as they must be the best in the city. The cheese cake was great. This is a must for any foodie!
Wow. We were told to come for cocktails and stayed for dinner. Sit at the bar and you get a chef's kitchen view! Had 4 cocktails all excellent. One even smoked! And the Notorious F.I.G. cocktail had B.I.G.'a picture in the foam. The flatbread was outrageously good. We had the pear and onion, and the mushroom my personal fav and they are large and perfectly balanced. Definitely grab the beet and apple salad with walnuts. Excellent. Had to order the pecan and brownie dessert. A restaurant that is only a few months old with a young chef, kitchen, and staff who are delivering the best meal of our vacation. *** stay for the stoic sous chef
Best restaurant in Stratford by a landslide. The experienced chefs carefully select ingredients and menu items that create a one of a kind experience. Each dish is deliciously crafted in an open concept kitchen, with the dining area having a relaxed speak easy vibe. The drinks, food, service and atmosphere is next level. Please enjoy this place as much as we did!
Rockwell is a top restaurant! The food, cocktails, and staff were all amazing! One of my favourite places!
We hosted a private birthday party of about 40 people at Rockwell Lounge in early November, for my wife. I worked with Chef Beers, Landon, and the team in setting it up. We were absolutely blown away by the level of service and detail, the atmosphere, and quality of food and drinks. We are still talking about it today. Truly amazing. If there was a 6-star rating I would give it to them. Without hesitation I would recommend Rockwell Lounge to anyone wishing to host a private event. The team there will take good care of you!
