Great music store, especially for a town this size. The owner, Rob, is very close knowledgeable and resourceful. If the thing you’re looking for is not in stock, he will bring one in for you to try. The prices are very reasonable, the service is great and the products on offer are wide-ranging. Absolute gem of a music store 5 stars all day long
I needed help tuning my ukulele and rather than continue trying on my own, adding to my frustration, I went to the 'guys in the know' at Rockit Music and Coffee. Rob was welcoming, friendly, understanding , and showed me how to tune it. He went above and beyond in service, noticing something not quite right, and came up with a very generous solution. I was and am thankful for the genuine care and support and left the store sans frustration, feeling very cared for, supported and encouraged . Thank you Rob.
Having moved to Powell River not long ago, one of its best finds for me has been Rockit. The shop has quality products and knowledgeable staff. Rob is a seasoned musician as well as a business owner and most attuned to the needs of his customers. Pardon the pun. Each visit has been a great experience and any purchase made has been with the confidence that Rob's goal is to serve the customer well.
I purchased a ukelele and asked if he could restring it left handed. The owner didn't switch the two interior strings. He hoped "I could live with it". I now can't tune it correctly because the two strings are inverted and am having an even more difficult time learning as I now have to figure this out on my own so I can fix it I'll likely go to another music shop in the lower mainland.
I was in today to get some strings and see if they could order me something. Couldn't have been more helpful. I noticed they didn't have any classical guitars in stock, but I was assured that more were on order and that they would try and get whatever I was looking for. Would recommend the store to anyone who plays music or drinks coffee.
Perfect size store for the town of Powell River, can get anything you need and more!!! Best coffee in town, love hanging out having nice conversation with the ones who work here!
I found the store wasn't stocked very well compared to music stores in bigger places although surprisingly they did have everything I needed.. and my visits there are always enjoyable. So if you're looking for a friendly place to shop for your musical needs, this little music store will serve you well.

If you are looking for a store that carries good name brand music instrument at a fair price, this is the place. The staff are knowledgeable, and helpfull. If there is an instrument that is not in stock, the staff will take the time to search around for you. Very community oriented, and support the local arts.
