The food was good. Especially liked their sea food items. The shrimp pasta was full of flavours. It’s a highly recommended item if you’re visiting the next time. The cocktails were as usual.
Didn't eat in, only ordered wings. This this review is based only on one experience. Online google menu has incorrect pricing. Must be an old menu. Wings were sold by the pound. I have had better wings, I have had few worse. I ordered oven baked honey garlic and buffalo, and they were dry and overcooked. They also had very little sauce on the buffalo. Service was good both on phone and at the hotel for pickup.
This use to be my favorite bar. We came for an event that was scheduled ahead of time. The bar was incredibly under-staffed and took forever for drinks. One of the bar staff was outside smoking and socializing while the bar was packed. I also noticed the DJ for this night was more interested in drinking/smoking than playing music.... Sad to see.
The Salisbury steak on the senior’s menu is my go to. Always delicious and a good portion size. The service is always great at Rocks. Staff are friendly. Parking: Lots of parking
A very spacious place with several original design aspects. We stopped by in early afternoon, with a youth and ate inside. Please note this review is reflective of the restaurant aspect and food only, as that's all we experienced during our visit. We were greeted promptly & pleasantly, and able to choose our own table inside or patio. Water and menus were delivered quickly. I didn't get our servers name unfortunately, she was great! Very friendly, helpful with recommendations on food options and choices. Our food was served very quickly! I had a clubhouse sandwich that was toasted to perfection, the ingredients were fresh and was very filling. Our table ordered two poutines, you have the options of what type of fries you would like. We had home fries and crinkle cut, both were good, home fries were really good and win my vote. Overall we had a lovely lunch, enjoyed our visit and would recommend the establishment.
Myself and our crew from wrestling came after our event in town. Alissa went above and beyond to take care of our group! Food was super good and very reasonably priced. See you next time!
Edit: Raised the review. I have been back for breakfast 3 times since I first put my 1-star review. But every visit since has been pretty good. These times there was room in the front cafe area, and I sat there. Not sure if staffing is different there from the restaurant, but the restaurant was fairly noisy, and the cafe was quiet, so it was my preference for a lone breakfast. Was provided my drink order immediately these times, let them know I already knew what I wanted, and they came back right away after putting the coffee pot down and took my order. Breakfast was great. I am a basic breakfast person, bacon and eggs are my go-to. Eggs were perfectly over easy every time and all the fixings were as expected. Pretty standard breakfast but cooked properly and everything served warm. Leaving was quick, someone ready to take payment after a short moment at the front counter. Would recommend for breakfast. Old 1 star: Just sat at a table waiting for service for about 20 minutes with staff walking past me constantly. Not even a greeting. I drew the line when the waitress doing coffee went out of her way to not look at me. Screw this place.
If you're looking for a place with decent pool tables, a good games room, and servers that check up on you, go to Travs Hotel.Food: 4/5
I used to love this place but it has taken over new ownership. It's run down and the food prices are through the roof! I understand groceries in general have gone up but the quality of the food did not match the prices. I ordered grilled cheese which I thought was pretty straightforward. The processed cheese wasn't even melted and I had to send it back. The cheese tomato soup was full of onions which I guess is the cheapest vegetable around to use but it was in congruent. The food came slowly and service was mediocre. It's a shame because this town has so few restaurants.
I had the fehaciente chicken thought the noodles where a little undone BUT other WISE WAS GOOD...Food: 4/5
