We stopped in a couple times while camping at nearby Camp Itasca. There is a nice selection of staples here, which was pretty helpful and even earplugs for our kids since I apparently snore in the tent. The staff was friendly and fun to talk to during our visits.

Gas, convenience store, and small liquor store right outside the north entry to Itasca State Park. About 1mile to the Mississippi river headwaters. Friendly service.
A Little unfriendly. You get the strong "who the he'll are you vibe" like only locals are wanted. Been like that as long as I been going there. I'm Semi local PR area...hey sometimes the kids need more Soda while biking....but convient is all they offer. Crack a smile once geez!
Rock Creek is the one stop shop if your fishing lake Itasca, Great bait choices and they are very generous and great prices! And alot of different types of lures for ice fishing or summer!
Great convenient store outside of the main gate. And it is just that...convenient. I've been a customer since they opened and have never had a bad experience. I will gladly spend my money here and support a small business. The owners sure know how to make you feel like a local even though I'm not.

I arrived a few minutes after their posted close time, but she turned the pump back on for me so I could fill up my empty tank. That small act is great customer service that you wouldn't find at most other gas stations. Thank you Rock Creek General Store!
Always friendly staff usually just get snacks for the trip back home they have bait and fishing supplies too
No masks for the employees. No signs prompting patrons to wear a mask. Also, sign out front says they're imposing a 4% fee on everything to continue their service. Isn't that simply your profit margin? Why do you mark prices up beyond your cost then throw in a hidden fee on top? Just put it in the first markup.
