I had a great experience here! I have to be honest, I was a bit leery because of the location and the other reviews. But from the ease in check-in, to the fresh smelling lobby, the front desk lady was really polite efficient and helpful!nThere was lots of parking.nI had room number 111 which is second from the end closest to the parking lot. I thought it would be noisy but I wanted that one so I'd have less walking back and forth to my car to unload my stuff.nnThe motel doors all faced in to the courtyard. It's not like most where you can park in front of your door.nnI also thought that it would be very echoey and noisy but it wasn't!nnThe room has new laminate floors and tiles in the bathroom. A nice deep soaker tub.nnI found the bed comfortable and I appreciated the two different softness choices of pillows.nnThere was a microwave and a fridge and a small by today's standard TV, but it was just fine!nnCheck out was easy.nnI had to walk my dogs at midnight and 5 in the morning how's a bit nervous because it was dark and there is no real grassy place for dogs to have a little romp. However I walked up and down the road towards the convention center and there were security people visible, as well as Tim Hortons is across the street so there was a police car having a break. I felt safe.nnYes there are homeless people around in the daylight, but they mostly kept to themselves and were quite cheerful folk.nnI would recommend this place if you have a convention to go to or even for a family-friendly because there's an ice rink right there and a public pool and library.
I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. First of all, I found bed bugs in my room, which made me extremely uncomfortable and unable to sleep properly. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel charging this rate.nnOn top of that, the staff charged me additional fees that were never mentioned during the booking process. I had no choice but to pay, and it felt very unprofessional and misleading.nnI would definitely not recommend this place. There are so many better options out there—save your money and avoid this hotel.
It's been hit and miss. The renovated rooms are great and have seemed clean to me. Unfortunately I opted for a double suite and it was not renovated recently, the beds were sacked out, burn marks on the night stand and bathtub, a bloody booger on the back of the bathroom door, and a broken bar fridge. The first bed I crawled into the sheets were dirty and so moved to the next and hoped for the best. My neighbour was playing loud music and had to call to complain about this, too bad the phone didn't work in the room either. My previous stay a month before there was some drunken disorderly behaviour at 4 am with a lot of screaming and fighting. I guess you get what you pay for but still nicer than my stay at the downtown best western.
Rooms were comfortable and clean. Light fixtures however were super bright, with limited options for control. Service was great. Hotel is located in downtown and you come across some expected issues.
I deliver vehicles from Vancouver to Prince George, which often requires me to stay overnight to catch the E-bus back home.nn* 500m from the Ebus pickupn* Less than $100 a nightn* Wifi is decentn* Rooms are clean and in decent conditionn* Staff is friendly and helpfulnnIt's not super fancy, but if you need to get back out of Prince George without a vehicle and can't find a flight for less than $300, it's perfect for being able to stay overnight and take the Ebus out of town at 8am.
